Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 395

After leaving Daphne's quarters, Tessa headed straight for the Solarian Concert Hall.

By the time she arrived, everyone had already gathered.

The piano section had only invited four people. Originally, there were only three spots, but Tessa had been forcefully shoehorned in.

The moment she walked through the doors, she drew countless curious stares.

After all, a last-minute addition usually meant the person either possessed such extraordinary talent that a royal family member had scouted them, or they had serious connections.

Either way, they weren't someone to cross lightly.

Willow heard the door open but didn't even bother to glance up. Instead, she was focused intently on Caspian's eyes. "Caspian, are you still experiencing that dull ache these past two days?"

Caspian nodded softly. "I've had it before, but it's never been this pronounced."

Willow's eyes immediately lit up. "That's a great sign! The pain means the optical nerves haven't completely died off. In a couple of days, I'll take you to get a full examination. What if there's a chance we can fix this?"

Hearing those words, Caspian stared at her in a daze. His Adam's apple bobbed with suppressed emotion. "Is... is there really a chance?"

Willow smiled, her eyes curving into bright crescents. "Of course! And if we manage to cure you, I'm going to custom-order a ring for you!"

Caspian looked confused. "A get-well gift?"

Willow gave him a secretive, teasing smirk. "Nope! An engagement prop!"

Caspian instantly realized what she meant, and his face flushed a brilliant shade of crimson. He didn't deny it, though. Instead, he cleared his throat and mumbled, "You better not tell anyone."

Willow just kept smiling. That 'anyone' obviously referred to Vivienne.

While Willow was undeniably dense when it came to her own love life, she had watched enough romance shows to know that Caspian was completely head over heels for Vivienne!
