Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 82

Why should an outsider get to take the shares that belonged to her parents?

Those belonged to her. Now that she had a second chance at life, Willow wasn't going to give up a single inch.

Elias choked on her retort, unable to formulate a response for a long moment.

How could he just casually hand over shares of The Landon Group to Willow?

Even if she were his wife, he couldn't do that, let alone now that they had completely severed all ties.

Taking a deep breath, Elias didn't get too angry. After all, he had grown up with Willow and felt he understood her temper. He assumed she was only saying these things to deliberately provoke him—perhaps still bitter over him swapping brides on their wedding day.

Deep down, she must still care about him.

His gaze softened considerably as he lowered his voice. "Willow, be good, okay? Let's have a proper talk. Whatever you want, I'll do my best to give it to you. Deal?"

Xavier seemed to realize something and looked at him in shock. "Elias, are you...?"

Elias met his gaze calmly. "Xavier, do you have a better idea? The Jagger Family cut ties with the Landon family entirely because they were targeting you. My family is just collateral damage. If I pull all my investments out of the Shaw family, I can easily walk away unscathed. But you? You won't be so lucky."

Xavier immediately clenched his fists tight, his breathing turning ragged.
