Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 87

After playing the victim successfully, Tessa felt her mood lighten considerably.

She turned her head toward Asher, who had been sitting in total silence, and carefully asked, "Asher, are you still in a bad mood today?"

Asher's gaze landed lightly on her, but he remained as silent as ever, offering no response.

Having hit a wall, Tessa found her smile slipping. She forced a gentle tone. "Asher, if you need anything, just call me. I'm going to be entering a piano competition soon. I heard they only allow original compositions, and that's always been a weak spot for me, so I need to get a head start on finding some inspiration."

Asher merely grunted, not offering a single word more.

Instead, it was Leo who chimed in. "Don't worry about it. I'll go find a few renowned composers for you. Maybe they can help you out."

Tessa nodded, putting on a deeply moved expression before slowly walking out of the hospital room.

Once she was out of sight, Tessa's expression instantly darkened.

What on earth was Asher throwing a tantrum over?

So what if she hadn't cured him on the very first try and made him suffer a little extra?

Did he really need to make things so ugly?

Tessa was furious, but she couldn't say a word. She had no choice but to head back to the Shaw Estate, lock herself in her room, and use composing as an excuse to isolate herself.

The entire Shaw family was waiting for Tessa to win the gold medal at the competition, hoping she would stun the world, become Caspian Skye's apprentice, and alleviate the intense external public relations pressure on them. Because of this, no one dared disturb her.

Meanwhile, after Willow finished her meal and returned home, a casual glance at her phone made her freeze.

The production crew had notified her that the competition would begin recording the day after next. The entire format was unusually streamlined and would be broadcast entirely via live stream.
