Billionaire’s Regret After Losing Her (Aurelia) novel Chapter 213

Chapter 213 Burn It All

Aurelia ignored Eleanor completely and kept eating her

meal.

The Hawthorne family always had lunch at 11:30 sharp, and it was way past that now. The smell of food filled the air, and Eleanor’s stomach was growling.

Aurelia moved back into the Hawthorne Manor, she’d been having her personal staff cook only for her. If she was so paranoid about being poisoned, why didn’t she just have her people cook for everyone?

Eleanor stomped her foot in frustration and stormed upstairs.

Up in the bedroom, Lauren was getting hungry too.

Her postpartum recovery wasn’t like most new mothers. She had a serious appetite. Three meals a day weren’t enough, so she had two snack times in addition to that.

But this morning, Aurelia had shown up out of nowhere and completely disrupted the schedule. Lauren had missed her mid-morning snack, and now lunch was 13:08

delaved too

Eleanor burst into the room, cursing under her breath. “Aurelia is hogging the kitchen on purpose! She’s

determined to make our lives miserable. I swear to God, if Dominic doesn’t get rid of her soon, I’m going to lose my mind!”

Lydia looked up. “Her staff is still in there cooking?”

“They’re making afternoon tea now,” Eleanor snapped. “Can you believe it? She hasn’t even finished lunch yet, and she’s already got them preparing her next meal. Does she think she’ll starve or something?”

Lauren and Lydia exchanged a look, and their expressions darkened.

This wasn’t about being hungry at all. Aurelia was deliberately monopolizing the kitchen. She was doing this

on purpose.

Lydia’s voice rose with frustration. “So what are we supposed to do now? What is Lauren going to eat?”

It didn’t matter much to her and Eleanor. If they got hungry enough, they could just go out and grab something. But Lauren was different. Her stitches had3:08

barely started healing, and taking her out anywhere was completely out of the question.

Eleanor’s breathing came fast and shallow. “We’ll order takeout then!”

“What?” Lydia shot back. “Lauren just had a baby. How can we feed her takeout?”

“Then what do you suggest?” Eleanor’s voice cracked with anger. “She’s taken over the entire kitchen right now, and none of our staff can even get in there to cook!”

Eleanor was about to lose her mind. What kind of disaster had they brought into this house? Aurelia was tearing their entire family apart.

She took a sharp breath and made her decision. “Order takeout for now. If it comes down to it and Dominic can’t get rid of her, then Lauren, you’ll have to stay at one of our other properties.”

The Hawthorne family owned plenty of real estate. At this point, Lauren simply couldn’t afford to be caught in Aurelia’s crosshairs.

look at Lauren. The moment Lauren heard the words “order takeout,” her expression darkened.

But what choice did she have right now? She couldn’t exactly go head-to-head with Aurelia.

Still, when Eleanor mentioned moving to another house for her recovery, Lauren’s resistance flared immediately. “No, I don’t want to go anywhere else. I’m used to living here.”

She needed to stay right here.

Now that Aurelia had shamelessly moved back in, Dominic would definitely be coming home every single day. There was no way he wouldn’t.

That thought alone made Lauren dig in her heels. She refused to leave this house, no matter what anyone said.

Eleanor heard she wasn’t willing to do it and got even more pissed. “You don’t want to, and she won’t leave either, so what do you suggest we do? She’s obviously targeting all of us right now!”

He temper flared, and her tone lost all patience

Lauren’s expression darkened even more.

Downstairs, Aurelia finished eating and set down her bowl, then leaned in close to Gareth and said quietly, “Send someone to burn down every single house the Hawthorne family owns.”

Gareth blinked. “All of them?”

“Yeah, except for Rachel’s apartment,” Aurelia said.

Rachel was Eleanor’s daughter, but Eleanor’s heart must’ve been made of stone or something.

She was her own daughter, but Lydia had properties all over the place, while Rachel only had one apartment.

And that apartment wasn’t even originally hers. Dominic had given it to Aurelia, and Eleanor took it from her and transferred it to Rachel.

Gareth nodded. “Got it.”

A few minutes later, the food delivery arrived. When 13:08

she shot Gareth a look.

Gareth understood right away and gave one of their staff members a subtle signal.

The staff member caught on and immediately walked up and snatched the food right out of Nancy’s hands. Nancy had worked for the Hawthorne family for years.

Nancy’s face went dark. “What are you doing?”

She tried to grab it back from Aurelia’s staff member, but the woman spun around and headed straight for the kitchen.

Nancy moved to follow her, but Aurelia’s people blocked her path.

Nancy turned to Aurelia and asked, “Mrs. Hawthorne, what are you doing?”

Aurelia ignored her completely.

She had no obligation to respond to a maid.

Within moments, the maid who had taken the delivery:08

straight into Nancy’s hands.

Nancy glanced down at the takeout in her hands, then looked up at the person who had intercepted it and asked, “What did you do to the food?”

But the maid simply took her position behind Gareth with a respectful bow and said nothing.

They weren’t going to answer any questions, and that

much was clear.

Now that Aurelia’s people had gotten their hands on the delivery, Nancy had no idea whether Eleanor and the others would still dare to eat it.

Nancy realized she wasn’t going to get anywhere with them. As a maid herself, she couldn’t push the issue any further, so she stormed upstairs with the takeout, fuming the entire way.

Upstairs, Nancy knocked on Lauren’s door with the delivery in hand, and the moment Eleanor saw the food had finally arrived, she snatched it right out of Nancy’s

hands.

Finally. She was about to starve to death.

The delivery had taken forever to get here. With Hawthorne Manor’s tight security, it wasn’t easy for delivery people to get through the gates.

Just as Eleanor was about to turn and open the takeout bag, Nancy stopped her and said, “Madam.”

Her voice sounded anxious and heavy.

Eleanor looked at her and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Seeing Nancy’s expression, Eleanor’s heart sank, and a bad feeling started creeping up inside her.

Sure enough, Nancy turned to her and said, “Mrs. Aurelia Hawthorne’s people tampered with the takeout.”

“What?” Eleanor’s eyes widened in shock.

Lauren and Lydia both whipped their heads around to stare at Nancy.

Eleanor’s anger flared up again, and she couldn’t hold it back. “What the hell happened? How could you let her

people touch our food?”

That bitch!

Just minutes ago, downstairs, she’d been going on about how worried she was that the Hawthorne family might poison her.

Like she wasn’t worried about Aurelia poisoning them!

Aurelia had taken over the kitchen, and now her people had gotten their hands on the takeout too. What was she trying to pull?

Nancy looked uncomfortable and said, “Mrs. Aurelia Hawthorne brought so many people with her. I didn’t want to give it to them, but they just grabbed it from me.”

They grabbed it.

Eleanor felt like she was about to pass out from rage.

Even Lauren and Lydia couldn’t take it anymore!

Eleanor snapped, “What did she put in it?”
