Aurelia lowered her head and looked away from Dominic.

She glanced at Gareth beside her. He avoided Dominic’s gaze as well. “Let’s go, Ms. Smith.”

Aurelia nodded.

They walked toward the car together. Dominic was leaning against the passenger door, rain pounding against him, water dripping from his hair.

Aurelia walked straight past him. Gareth opened the car door for her.
