Bound by the Past, Locked by the Heart novel Chapter 316

*[Wait, so was Willa's suspension justified or not? If she didn't do anything wrong, why suspend her?]*

*[The person above is too naive. This isn't about right or wrong anymore.]*

*[Does anyone else think this entire situation is highly suspicious? This many leaks in a single day—someone is clearly orchestrating this.]*

*[Even if it's orchestrated, Randal did those things himself. How can they be framing him for his own actions?]*

Willa leaned back against the sofa, switching her phone to silent.

She didn't need to read any further; she could easily predict the trajectory of the outrage.

This entire spectacle was a trap meticulously dug for Randal.

The doorbell suddenly chimed.

Arthur stood up, walked to the door, and peered through the peephole. He turned back to Willa. "It's Sophie."

Willa nodded. "Let her in."

Sophie stormed through the door, rage radiating from her expression.

She tossed her bag onto the sofa and dropped down beside it, not even bothering to take off her shoes.

"Willa, you've seen the comments online, right?"

Willa poured her a glass of water, her tone composed. "I saw."

Sophie took the glass, gulped down half the water, and slammed it onto the coffee table. "The entire internet is ripping Randal apart right now. I guess he has some backbone at least, drawing the fire away from you. Honestly, I don't care if he burns."

Willa listened in silence, offering no response.

After venting for several minutes, Sophie finally cooled down. She looked at Willa intently. "Willa, why are you so calm? Do you know something?"

"From the very beginning, this was always meant to destroy Randal."

Sophie furrowed her brows. "What do you mean?"

"They used those hit pieces against me to force his hand, making him step out into the light. All they needed was for the media to brand him as morally bankrupt."

Sophie was still confused. "Who would do that? Someone with a vendetta against him?"
