Bound To The Broken Alpha
Chapter 295 Not For Me
DANIEL
The moment Hale reported movement near the transport yard, I moved.

Amy stayed in the surveillance room, pretending she wasn’t tense. Her wolf was restless under her skin, but she hid it well and I could feel it. Mine didn’t bother trying.
I gathered a small squad of reliable wolves–Hale, Corin, and Mira.
“We move quietly,” I told them. “If it’s who we think it is, no mistakes.”
They nodded.
As we reached the tree line, the air changed. Faint at first, then clearer with every step.
A scent that didn’t belong anywhere near my territory.
Rogue.
My wolf pushed hard against my control, teeth bared. Rogues weren’t allowed this close. Not without permission. Not without risking their lives.
The scent didn’t stop there. It layered with something familiar, something I hadn’t smelled in a while- Mark’s territory. Not Mark himself. Someone who worked under him.
My jaw tightened.
He was getting sloppy.
We moved deeper. The forest was quiet, but not the calm kind. More like the moment before a fight breaks out.
Corin whispered, “Two scents. One is fast. Nervous. Messenger?”
“Most likely,” I said.
“And the other?” Mira asked.
I inhaled again. “Old. Experienced. Someone who’s been rogue a long time.”
Hale scanned the trees with sharp eyes. “They’re heading for the yard.”
Exactly what Amy predicted.
I signaled the squad to split. Mira flanked left. Corin circled right. Hale stayed with me.
The messenger appeared first–small build, fast steps, clutching a sealed folder like it would save his life. He darted toward the abandoned transport yard, searching for someone.
The “someone” didn’t show.

Either the rogue alpha was waiting deeper in or they sensed the trap and fled.
It didn’t matter. The messenger was enough.
I stepped out of the shadows. “Going somewhere?”
He froze.
His eyes went wide. He recognized me. Most wolves did.
“I–I was told there’d be a meeting,” he stammered.
“With who?” Hale asked.
The messenger swallowed hard. “No one important.”
“Try again,” I said.
He bolted.
I didn’t even need to shift. I caught him by the back of the neck before he made it five steps. He yelped and dropped the folder.
“Really?” I asked. “You think running works in my territory?”
He struggled, but it was weak. More fear than strength.
I dragged him back to the clearing. “You’re going to talk. You know that, right?”
He clenched his jaw. “I won’t betray him.”
“Mark isn’t worth protecting,” Hale said.
The messenger’s eyes flashed. “He’s going to take back everything that was stolen from him. And when he does, you’ll regret-”
I slammed him against a tree. Not enough to break anything. Enough to stop the nonsense.
“You’re not here to help Mark rise,” I said slowly. “You’re here to help him hide.”
He hesitated.
There it was.
Fear.
Good.
I leaned closer. “Who are you delivering this to?”
Silence.

I pushed harder. “You have two options. Speak now or bleed for someone who doesn’t even care if you live.”
He spat at my feet. “The rogue alpha he’s speaking to isn’t afraid of you.”
“I didn’t ask if he was,” I said. “I asked for the name.”
He thought he had leverage. He didn’t.
I stepped back and nodded at Hale. “Search him.”
Hale grabbed the messenger’s arms while I picked up the folder he’d dropped. The seal wasn’t pack–made. It was rogue. Nothing fancy–just a scrap of cloth tied with rough string.
Inside were three pages.
Maps. Meeting points. Payment logs.
And one line that flipped my mood instantly:
“Target: the Luna.”
My wolf lunged so hard I had to grit my teeth to hold him back.
The messenger watched me and smirked. “Yeah. You saw it.”
I grabbed him by the shirt and hauled him off his feet. “You think this is something to smile about?”
He didn’t blink. “Mark has support. Real support. More than you think. Rogues want him back in play. They hate you alphas acting like kings.”
Hale growled, “Daniel-”
“I’m fine,” I snapped.
I wasn’t fine.
Not when Amy’s name was written as a target.
The messenger kept talking. “You can’t protect her forever. She’s marked now. The rogue alpha wants her. And when he comes, you won’t see him until she’s already-”
My hand closed around his throat before he finished.
I didn’t squeeze. Not fully, Just enough to show him how close he was to losing his voice forever.
“You say her name like that again,” I said, “and you won’t speak another word in your life.”
His eyes widened.
I threw him back to Hale. “Bind him. We’re taking him in.”
The messenger finally cracked. “You’re making a mistake! Mark has allies you don’t even know about! The
