Chapter 151 I Will Never Love You Again
Bethan shook off his grip and climbed onto the bed, looking at Hugh with innocent eyes. “I was just out celebrating Christmas with friends. Why are you so angry?”
Hugh’s jaw clenched, a vein pulsing at his temple as he fought to control his temper. Looming over her, his voice turned sharp and deliberate. “Your phone was off all night, you didn’t come home, and then you show up drunk in front of my family wearing some stranger’s jacket. And you call that ‘just celebrating”?”
Bethan looked down. She wouldn’t be getting any sleep tonight unless they had this fight first.
Her voice was flat, emotionless. “Hugh, on Christmas night, you left me stranded on the street to go be with your precious woman and son. I didn’t give you a hard time about that, did I?”
“I told you I’d be back soon,” Hugh said.

shot back. “But in that moment, you already made your decision!”
The tension hung between them like a thick fog. Both fell silent.
They stared at each other silently for what felt like forever —maybe thirty seconds that stretched endlessly. Finally, Hugh broke the tension. “If it bothers you this much, why did you put on that whole act about being okay with me leaving with them?”
Bethan let out a bitter laugh. “Hugh, do you really think I’m that pathetic?”
She sneered, “Remember when I found out you got back together with Megan? When I found out about the kid? Remember how I kept pushing you, over and over? And how you kept crushing me, piece by piece?”
Something dark flickered across Hugh’s face. Before Bethan could react, he stepped forward and grabbed her wrist, yanking her toward him. She lost her balance and tumbled onto the bed.

her skin as he leaned in close. “So everything-all those promises, all that warmth, the way you’ve been so sweet to me–it’s all been an act? You’re just going through the
motions?”
Bethan met his dangerous stare without flinching. “What did you expect? You think after betraying me, after destroying what we had, I could just go back to loving you the way I used to? Like nothing happened?”
Hugh stared into her eyes, his focus wavering as if something else was pulling at his thoughts. It felt like an invisible hand was squeezing his chest, making breathing
harder and harder.
He stayed frozen like that for a long moment.
When he finally spoke, each word was deliberate, final. “Bethan, I’m giving you one last chance. Are you sure it’s over? Are you sure you don’t love me anymore?”
Their eyes locked, and Bethan’s gaze burned with determination. “I’m done, Hugh. This lifetime, the next one, and every single one after that-I will never love you again.”

Hugh’s grip loosened without a flicker of emotion crossing his face. He straightened, took a step back, and the warmth in his eyes slowly drained away as he looked at her. “Your love was never that important to me anyway.”
They stared at each other again, but this time Bethan’s eyes held a bitter smile. “Thanks for the reminder, but I’ve always known that.” Of course, her love didn’t matter to him. He was in love with Megan.
Hugh turned away and grabbed the postnup agreement from the nightstand and a thick stack of documents, then threw them down in front of her. His voice was ice-cold. “I originally drafted this agreement just to keep our marriage stable. I never planned to cage you in with all these rules, but I’ve changed my mind.”
He continued, “Starting today, you’re going to follow every single requirement in there to the letter. Work hours are yours to do whatever you want, but the rest of your time belongs to this family. You’ll be home by ten PM every night. No exceptions, no negotiations.”
Bethan tossed the agreement aside and climbed out of Bed, standing barefoot before him. “Funny thing though47

Hugh’s eyes held a dangerous calm as he spoke, his voice level and controlled, “Bethan, I make the rules here.
You’re not in a position to negotiate with me.”
His arrogance made her voice spike higher. “Don’t you dare push me around, Hugh!”
A cruel smile tugged at his lips. When he spoke again, his tone was ice-cold. “I have a thousand ways to destroy your career. Try me if you don’t believe it.”
