Hugh smoothly pushed Megan’s hand away. “You heard

wrong.”

He knew Calvin, but they weren’t close. Calvin was a big shot in the legal world; he only took corporate cases and spent most of his time flying around the globe. The man rarely mingled with New York’s high society circles.

Hugh had never been close to Calvin, which meant Bethan wouldn’t know him either. They had to just be doctors and patients, nothing more.
