Chapter 51 Hudson Is My Flesh And Blood
After Mason left, Hugh didn’t drive away immediately.
As dawn broke, he sent a message to Bethan and then headed back to Cavill Manor.
Harvey, an early-riser who loved his morning workouts, was surprised to see Hugh back so early.
He told Logan to rouse everyone.
In the living room, Hugh placed the paternity test report on the coffee table. “Hudson is my own flesh and blood. If you still don’t believe me, I can take another paternity test right here,” he declared firmly.
Fiona picked up the report and nearly fainted.
Gwen shot Hugh a dirty look and quickly supported Fiona.
Hugh stood in front of Harvey, his eyes filled with determination. “Grandpa, Dad, I’ve proved the kid’s mine. If you ever mess with Megan again, I’ll officially register the child as my son, bring them home, and make our relationship public, giving them the status they deserve.”
Ryan was furious. “What about Bethan? You’re still married. If people find out you’ve got a bastard outside, it’ll be a huge scandal!”
Hugh declared firmly, “I’ll secretly support Megan and her son. I won’t make our relationship public, and I’m not divorcing Bethan, either.”
Harvey slowly rose to his feet. “Even if I let that mother-son duo be, do you think Bethan will put up with them?”
Hugh replied, “Bethan’s kind-hearted. She’ll come around.”
After a moment’s hesitation, Harvey finally gave in. “Since the kid’s yours, a Cavill descendant after all, you can give them money and look after them, but they’ll never get an official status!”
Hugh shot back, “On the condition that you stop causing them trouble.”
Harvey retorted, “If you can convince Bethan not to make a scene and not to divorce you, I’ll stay out of it.”
With Harvey’s approval, Hugh left Cavill Manor.
In his mind, Bethan was head-over-heels in love with Hugh. Even after finding out about Megan and her son, she only let off steam at home.
In public, she always maintained his dignity, leaving some leeway for their relationship.
Bethan acted so desperately just for an explanation, an apology, and for him to come back to the family.
Divorce was the last thing she wanted.
After leaving the manor, Hugh went straight to the company.
When Bethan woke up in the morning, she saw Hugh’s message asking to meet at night.
