Book3 Chapter9
I silently stared at my hands as Lee ran a brush through my hair. I closed my eyes breifly remebering when i was a child
and how i begged him to braid my hair.
I remembered that he had to get Aunt Seven to teach him after the third time i begged him and soon he would do it
without me even asking.
It soothed me and brought me a little closer to him when we had this qiute time togeather.
I had told him about my dream yesterday and he’d held me as i cried. I knew about my real parents and even my
brother. I didnt hate my brother or even resent him.
Frankly i didnt know him or our true parents but of course i was saddend my the thought of my birth parents. When I
was younger I’d get flash backs of us togeather at a park or at the house I’d been raised in.
My older brother never tried to contact me and I didnt care. I couldnt really miss what I couldn’t remember. Blaze’s
mom had given me a picture of him but I’d put it in a box and shoved it in my closet.
I’d tried to bury all memoried of that part of my life. For years I couldnt remember the night my birth parents were murdered. Then suddenly one night I remembered. It had taken Lee, Blaze, Blaze’s parents and my parents to finally calm down. My parents then explained everything to me. How my older brother had given me to my parents knowing I’d
have a better life with them instead of with him.
They told me about my birth parents and how I was kiddnapped and how Lee saved me. It took months for the
nightmares to stop thanks to Lee and Blaze.
But now it seemed they were back. I relaxed as Lee’s hands suddenly started messaging my back alerting me that he was
done with my hair,
“Lee?” I asked softly.
“Yes sweetheart? He asked just as soft.
“Do you think when I find my mate…..he’ll like me?” I asked finally let him aware of a fear that had been nagging me as
my birthday drew closer.
His hands paused for a second before resuming their message. Lee spoke a odd tone in his voice
“I know for a fact that he will fall in love with you the second he sees you‘
I blushed at his words and looked at my hands
Tally has this whole image set up in her mind about her mate but I don’t want to make him up to be this god then him to turn out to be some jerk who is mean to me or some nice guy who dosnt have much personality. What if I dont

like him?” I whispered.
I leaned agasint Lee’s chest as his arms snaked around my wasit pulling me closer.
“Princess your mate is someone picked out for you by fate. They are your other half your soul. I promise if he’s nothing
you ever wanted I’ll take care of him okay?”
I giggled as his fingers tickled my sides making me wiggle away from his touch.
“Okay.” I agreed.
After a few moments i turned around to face him a frown on my face. He frowned slightly in concern and kissed my
forehead.
“Whats wrong Princess?”
“Lee….where’s your mate?” I asked quietly. I had always wondered why he didnt have a mate like all the other grown ups
but as i grew older I dreaded the day a woman crossed his path and became his mate. I didnt want to share him, never
had.
Lee was mine he always had been. He admitdly spoiled me rotten with his attention growing up and just the thought of
his attention on another girl had me freaking out.
Would he love me the same with another girl in the picture?
“Why are you asking me this?” He frowned.
I shurgged and looked away from his gaze. “I just want to know. You’ve never talked about other woman and I’ve always
wondered where she was.”
“Do you want me to talk to other women?” He asked his tone confused and hurt.
My eyes snapped to his a sharp no snapping from me. His eyes widen flashes of emotion racing across them. Finally he
smiled me and pulled me closer to him a teaseing look in his eyes now.
‘Are you jelouse?”
I glared at him and crossed my arms. “No of course not. I just don’t want some woman taking you away from me. Some
people wouldn’t like how close we are.”
“Ohh my spoiled little angel no one could keep us apart. Not some woman or even your anger, you’ll always be my
princess understand?”
I nodded causing a large grin go cross his face.
It
He pecked my cheek and buried his face in my neck his arms around my waist. I turned on my TV and flipped through

I spent the rest of the night in Lee’s arms his jokes and teasing keeping my mind from Blaze and my worries.
Of course the next day they came back in full force when Lyra came runing to me tears soaking her cheeks.
“Please Bree make him come back! He didnt mean to he was just upset please you know he’d never hurt you. Bring him
back!” She was sobbing now and all I could do was pull her into a tight hug.
Lyra and Blaze had such a close realtoinship it even ruled over me. All of Lyra’s brothers were protective her but Blaze reviled them all. It was hard to describe them when they were togeather. It was as if Blaze knew what she needed before
she even thought about it.
It was a connection you’d expects mates to have not siblings. Lyra was special everyone knew that heck she was the
princess next in line to be queen.
“Please Bree!” She sobbed into my shoulder.
“Lyra….honey I don’t think he’ll listen to me if he hasn’t even answered you.” I told her gently.
“I want him back.” She whispered weakly.
“I know honey.” I sighed.
She pulled back and brushed her tears away her hair falling in her eyes.
‘He felt horriable for what did to you. He would take it back if he could.”
I nodded and ran my fingers through my hair. “Yeah I know.”
‘He feels as if he is out of our lives then everything will be better. That we’ll forget him. She shook her head angryly.
“Lyra if anything he’ll realize what a mistake he’s making and will come running to you. You know how much your
brother loves you.”
