Book2 Chapter15
Lena Rose P.O.V
I had tried again and again to change Shadow’s packs mind. But they were determind to save their beloved alpha. A part of me was proud that Shadow had such loyal pack mates.
It showed what kind of person my mate really was.
Once I realised they weren’t going to give up I gave them all the info I could.
I told them where all the weak spots were on the house. How many gaurds were on each level of the
house. How many rooms, what the layout was and so on.
I expained to them they would only have a 10 second opening for when the spell around the property opened up after I rode through. Ten seconds may sound like a enough time for everyone to run thorugh but three of those seconds would be used as I passed through and then my brothers and Shadow’s pack had to slide in.
Ten seconds mind as well be two.
I tried to explain to them that the men they would be fighting wouln’t be like they expected. The guards that roamed the ground were the lowest of the low of men. Rapist, muderers, child molesters, if you could think of it at least four of the men were it.
An all of them were tried to be ruthless just like me. The diffrence between us though was that I had a heart. I had lines that I would never cross. These men crossed those lines before they’d ever been recruited to be my grandfathers guards.
I sat in my room now cleaning my guns. Something that soothed me.
My eyes flickered to my door way startled as Seven skipped in and flopped on my bed. I stared at her for a second before looking back to my guns.
“Where’s Valentina?” I asked
Though the girls acted as if they hated each other I never saw them apart.
Seven sighed “I don’t know probably with Luca or staring at her abbs. You know she does that right?”
I stifled a laugh at her tone.

“I look at my abbs every now and then” I told her.
She made a huffing noise. “Just becuase you all have freaking six packs dosn’t mean you should just stare at them all the time. Gah you people are so wierd”
Says the girl who claims to be a ninja I thought.
“Why do you two always fight?” I asked setting one of my favorite guns down and looking to her.
“Its expected you know? She’s the popular cheerleader everyone loves and I’m the loser outcast.”
I frowned at her. “Your not an loser outcast”
She snorted unamusd.“You didn’t go to high school an I’m diffently the outcast. But the worst thing is I can’t even hate her. Valentina is so…..freaking nice all the time its physically imppoible to hate
her. Makes me sick”
She made a face and I chuckled.
“I wish she was bitchy or something it would make things so much easier. Then I could actuallly
have a reason to be mean to her”
I shook my head, this girl was strange that was for sure.
Suddenly she became extremly quiet. I looked to her worried and grew concerned as I realised she
was crying.
“Seven whats wrong” I asked sitting beside her.
She looked into my eyes grabbing my hand. “Please…..please promise me that you’ll make sure Leo comes back safe.”
My face softened and I smoothed her hair back. “Of course I will. He’s my brother.”
She nodded and I silently called for Leo through our bond. I was quite that comfortable around crying girls though I was starting to turn into one in the past week.
Seconds later Leo rushed in his face softing in a way I’ve never seen when his eyes landed on Seven.
“Oh baby come here. We talked about this already, I’ll be fine.” He soothed pulling her to his chest.
“What if you get hurt? What if someone takes you by suprise? What if–”
Leo caught her off with a kiss. I smiled slightly amused by his methods to calm his mate. He

whispered something in her car then easily picked her up. He turned and winked at me before walking out the room his mate in his arms.
I wondered if me and Shadow would be like that. Would we have little secrets only we knew? Would he calm me down with just a kiss? Would he play with my hair like Luca did with Valentina when we
all watched movies.
Hopefully I would find out soon.
I closed my eyes and breathed. In. Out.
I felt calm settle over me. like a blanket. I often felt this before I killed a target. I felt my mind settle into a dark place where emotion had no room to sit.
I pulled on my clothes and placed every one of my weapons on my body in a precise place.
I pulled my hair into a tight ponytail watching the dark locks swing behind me limply.
Pulling my leather jacket on I stepped into the hall and was greeted by my parents. When my mother looked into my eyes she flinched slightly then quickly composed herself.
“Lena I…..I wanted to give you this”
My mother handed me a a sliver heart with a large diamond shining under the light. I could see a chain had been looped throught the heart making it into a neckless. I turned it over and read the engraved words.
My love will never weaken.
“Your father gave it to me on my 18 birthday. Over the years I had spells put on it and I want you to have it, for protection.”
My father placed a hand on her waist. I blinked then pulled her into a tight hug that she instatnly
returned.
“My sweet baby…” She sighed kissing the side of my head.
I warmness curled around my heart but my dakrness push it away. My lycan knew we had to kill soon and we couldn’t be feeling these things now.
As soon as I was released from my mother my father grasped me in his large arms holding me tight

to him. After a moment he pulled back slightly and grasped the right side of my face with his hand.
“If I could I would slaughter the man who stole you from us but…me and your mother have a obligation to the kingdom. He locked eyes with me “Make the bastard suffer”
“Don’t worry he’ll pay……. for everything”
I looked away as my brother said their goodbyes to their sobbing mates. I was suprised Seven was the more vocal one out of the two. But then again the thought of possibly losing your soul mate
forever would break anyone,
Even me.
