Julian declared, “It was fortunate that I managed to marry my wife by being a bit cunning. Otherwise, my love rivals would already be knocking on my door.”
Sebastian asked, “Where did you learn to be so scheming?”
“From you, of course,” came Julian’s remarks. “Stop pretending to be innocent, Mr. Levine. Even ten versions of me could never compete with you.”
Sebastian arrived at the Celestial Garden in a perfectly tailored suit, looking completely out of place beside Serena and Blake.
She glanced at him in disbelief and inquired, “Didn’t I say we were coming here to go boating?”
Sebastian had never seriously visited tourist attractions before, so how could he have known what to expect?
A morning meeting at the company had delayed him, and he had rushed over immediately afterward.
Certain people, unlike him, clearly had far too much free time.
Blake pressed his lips together as a quiet laugh escaped. “Well, Sebastian, you must have had quite a busy day. I never expected you to dress this formally. Someone who didn’t know better might mistake you for our bodyguard.”
He fell silent, momentarily at a loss for words, and thought, I would remember this.
Serena rarely had the chance to visit scenic spots. Although the surroundings were beautiful, the novelty faded over time, and boredom gradually set in.
“Are you tired already, honey? Since your cousin traveled all this way, making a little effort is only right. Still, places like this are usually enjoyed by older people,” he insisted.
He spoke again, his tone casual as if out of genuine curiosity. “Blake, how old are you?”
Blake was older than Serena, though not necessarily older than Sebastian.
Sebastian continued relentlessly. “It’s nothing, Blake. Age doesn’t really matter, but you’re not exactly young anymore. You should start thinking about marriage.”

“I tend to speak very directly, so please don’t take offense,” he explained. “There’s no need to get upset with me.”
Blake was speechless for a moment.
Arguments followed them throughout the entire trip.
Serena tried to mediate at first, but eventually she gave up. A single truth became painfully clear to her, and she thought, Men only grow more childish with age. Their combined age nears a hundred, yet their minds seem no more mature than those of five–year–olds.
After enduring three full days of this, Blake finally announced that he would continue sightseeing on his own. I do not want to encounter Sebastian’s barbed tongue once more. The man is intolerable!
Thoughts of introducing Sebastian to different blind dates had crossed his mind during those three days.
He thought, How could anyone possibly be this irritating?
Seeing that his scheme had succeeded, Sebastian still put on a show of regret. “Blake, please forgive us if our hospitality fell short. I hope you can be understanding. A childhood friend of mine has an older sister who is truly exceptional. Are you sure you don’t want to meet her?”
Blake cast him a calm sideways glance. “No.”
“What a pity. I hope you find a girlfriend soon, Blake. You’re not getting any younger, so try not to be overly selective. Opportunities rarely come twice,” Sebastian opined, only for Blake to nearly throw him out of the hotel.
Sebastian rubbed his nose before turning to Serena with a wronged expression. “Honey, I was only trying to help. Your cousin is terrifying…”
“That’s enough! We’re going home!” She had truly reached her limit.
A faint smile curved Sebastian’s lips, and he remained completely unfazed. At last, they could proceed with their honeymoon.
Julian sent Sebastian several suggestions for honeymoon destinations. Each time, he responded with nothing more than a single period.
“Sebastian, where exactly do you want to go?” Julian questioned.
