Chapter 338 Peeking at Serena’s Scores
Chapter 338 Peeking at Serena’s Scores
“It’s puffed up.”
“Mm. Every woman looks like this after a full meal. Once it digests, it’ll go back to normal.”
Sebastian poked her soft, pale lower belly again and again, his gaze darkening.
“Too full?”
Serena squinted, still a little dazed from eating. “Yeah, I need to burn it off.”
“Burn it off, huh…” Sebastian dragged the words out in a deliberately suggestive tone.
Serena, completely unaware of the danger, innocently agreed. “Yes. Is there anything to do around here? I only see the hot spring, no real attractions nearby.”
“True. This place is all about soaking in private baths. But I have a way to help you.”
Serena opened her eyes. “What?”
Before she could finish, his lips met hers. “I’ll help you burn those calories.”
What a shameless man!
Eugene knew Serena had taken the special admissions test. “How did it go? When are you getting the results?”
Serena felt okay after the exam, but Yalen University required a score of over 105. She was estimating about 110, but she couldn’t be certain.
“I have a good feeling, but I’m not sure yet. We should know in a few days.”
Three days later, the front desk accidentally delivered Serena’s package to Poppy’s desk.
Poppy glanced at it, realizing it wasn’t hers, but curiosity got the better of her when she saw the sender’s name. She opened it without thinking.
When she saw the transcript inside, she froze,
Is Serena leaving?

She grabbed the transcript and ran to Chris’ office.
“Look at this! Is she leaving the firm?”
Chris glanced at it. “How did you get this?”
When his eyes fell on the package in her hands, he immediately realized what Poppy had done. “Nonsense! You opened someone else’s mail without permission. That’s an invasion o privacy! You’re a lawyer, for God’s sake. Don’t break the law!”
Poppy scoffed. “The front desk clerk, Lydia, delivered this to me by mistake. How is that my fault? Privacy rights? It’s not a big deal.”
“Tell me, is there some rumor? Is she leaving the firm?”
That question was very important to Poppy. If Serena left, the non-equity partner slot would be hers. Why should someone just sit on it without doing anything?
Chris shook his head. “She’s not necessarily leaving the firm. Maybe she’s taking a leave of absence to study abroad. That’s not uncommon in our line of work.”
Poppy snorted. “She’s ambitious, huh? Is it really necessary to go that far?”
“Alright, enough with the jealousy. Stop comparing yourself to her! Just return the package and don’t cause trouble.”
Poppy carefully put the transcript back into the package and returned it to the front desk. “Lydia, I thought this package was mine and opened it by mistake. Only later did I realize it belonged to Ms. Steele. You can give it to her yourself.”
Lydia Meener replied, “I see.”
Serena had already received the digital copy of her score. It matched her estimate, having scored 110 points. She had met the requirement.
Now, she just needed to talk to Sebastian in the next few days about her plans to study abroad.
“Ms. Steele, I’m sorry. I accidentally delivered your package to Ms. Farlane. She didn’t check the name and opened it.
