Chapter 349 She Fell Sick

Chapter 349 She Fell Sick

Only after six months abroad did Serena finally experience what it felt like to fall sick in a foreign country.

She really wanted to call Sebastian, but she was afraid that he would reprimand her, saying that she was making things hard for herself. Thus, she stubbornly didn’t call him.

When people fell sick, they were especially vulnerable, Serena often took out their wedding photo and looked at it, unable to count how many tears she had shed.

However, this was her choice. Hence, no matter how exhausting it was, she had to endure it herself.

Sebastian looked at his niece, who was secretly making a phone call, and asked, “Lucinda, who are you calling?”

Lucinda quickly put away her phone guiltily and said, “Uncle Sebastian. I wasn’t calling Rena.”

Hearing her words, Sebastian raised an eyebrow and asked, “Rena? Shouldn’t she be in class right now?”

Lucinda wished she could bite off her own tongue. She blamed her big mouth and brain for not thinking before speaking.

“Haha, you are so smart, Uncle Sebastian.”

Sebastian looked at her like she was an idiot. “Did she say anything?”

The people he had arranged to protect Serena had returned home for the New Year holiday. so he really didn’t know how Serena was doing during this time.

“She didn’t say anything. Also, why are you eavesdropping on our phone call?”

Sebastian frowned and said, “What nonsense are you talking about? What’s going on between you and Julian? Aren’t you planning to go home?”

“I will.” Lucinda pouted. “I’ll go back tomorrow night.”

Sebastian walked away and sent a message to Julian.

In the meantime, Julian, who had volunteered to take the night shift in the hospital, looked at the message and felt a sudden tightness in his chest.

“Dr. Hill, are you sleeping at the hospital tonight?”

Almost everyone knew that Julian had quarreled with his wife.

Julian pursed his lips together and said, “Who said I’m sleeping in the office? I just didn’t want

to run back and forth during my shift. If you have nothing to do, go check the wards. Don’t

just stand around here and do nothing” J

That very night, Lucinda was unwillingly picked up by Julian. Meanwhile, Sebastian stared at his phone thoughtfully. He couldn’t hold back anymore and called Serena for the first time.

Serena was dizzy and had no strength to answer the call. Her roommate, worried, was about to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital when she noticed Serena’s phone lighting up on the blanket.

The caller ID read that it was Serena’s husband.

After hesitating, she answered it.

“Hello, are you Serena’s husband? She had a fever from a viral infection for several days. I’m about to call an ambulance.”

Sebastian’s heart skipped a beat.

“Sick? How did she get sick?” Then, he realized his questioning was useless and quickly changed his tone. “I’m sorry, I got too anxious just now. Could you please call an ambulance for her? I’ll fly over tomorrow.”

Hearing his words, the roommate was quite curious since she had never seen Serena’s husband during the past six months, but it seemed he cared about her very much.

“Okay, no problem. Do you know the address?”

“I do. Thank you.”

During the New Year holiday, Mason received a call from Sebastian. To be honest, he really didn’t want to answer it.

“Hello, Mr. Levine.”
