Chapter 437 I Will Come After You Again
Chapter 437 I Will Come After You Again
Serena’s tension finally unraveled. Her body went limp, her sight faded to darkness, and she lost, consciousness.
“Honey!”
Serena jolted awake, her hands instinctively going to her abdomen. “Sebastian!”
“Honey, I’m here.” His eyes were red and exhausted, showing he hadn’t rested all night.
“Sebastian, are the babies all right?” The question came to her immediately.
He pulled her into his arms and pressed a gentle kiss to her hair. “Everything’s fine. They’re safe. I won’t let anything happen to you or our babies.”
Sebastian spoke quietly, his voice heavy with emotion.
The ordeal had shaken him deeply.
“Lily!” Serena pushed against him, gripping his hand tightly. “What about Lily? Where is she?”
Sebastian tried to soothe her. “She’s okay. He drugged her and trapped her in a warehouse. She’s just a bit exhausted, but she’s here at the hospital now. She woke up before you did.
“When Lily went to his place, she discovered photos of Amber everywhere. That triggered Gavin and made him act recklessly.
“Now it’s over. Gavin’s been taken in, though he’s still alive.”
If Serena hadn’t been there, Sebastian might have gone all the way.
“It’s alright. He’ll have to answer to the law.”
Sebastian looked down, suppressing the violent intent in his eyes. “Yeah. Don’t worry. Take a month to recover at home, okay?”
She could tell he was worried about her, so she nodded. “Alright.”
Once Lily learned Serena had regained consciousness, she came in with a nurse’s help and immediately hugged her, crying.
“Serena, thank goodness you’re okay. I was terrified!”
Serena gently patted her back. “It’s okay now. We both made it through.”
“I went to his place that day… I’m really sorry, Serena Lacted foolishly. I found a room filled with

of Amber. When he caught me looking, he beat me, tied me up, and forced me to call you so he could lure you there.”
Serena’s chest tightened. Lily had been caught in this nightmare because of her.
“I refused at first, then lost consciousness. When I regained my senses, I was trapped in a dark/cramped warehouse, and I was terrified.”
“It’s alright now. I’m the one who should apologize, Lily. Gavin targeted me, and you got dragged into
Wiping her tears, Lily shook her head. “That doesn’t matter. It doesn’t change the fact that he’s the real
monster!
“He chose to do those things. He deserves whatever comes to him.”
Serena felt overwhelmed with guilt, but Lily’s strength and kindness touched her deeply.
“You don’t blame me?” Serena asked.
“Why would I?” Lily replied firmly. “I’m not a child–I know right from wrong. Of course I won’t blame you instead of him. You’re a victim too. And look at your neck.”
Serena hadn’t checked a mirror yet. Lily lifted her phone and showed her the reflection–distinct red marks circled her throat.
Memories flashed back of Gavin’s chilling gaze–obsessed, cruel–as if he had truly intended to kill her.
“And Serena, you only ended up in danger because you were out there searching for me.”
Someone with a clear conscience wouldn’t shift their suffering onto another person.
