“Jett?”
A deep male voice broke the silence.
Jett spun around to see a familiar face and raised an eyebrow. “Hey. You’re back early. I take it the meeting went well?”
“Well enough.” Jasper walked over, his sharp gaze flicking between Hester and Jett. Finally settling on Hester, he asked, “Do you two know each other?”
“No,” Hester answered plainly. “He was taking photos of Gigi and me without asking. I was just making him delete them.”
Jett winced internally.
Jasper turned to him, frowning in disapproval. “When are you going to drop that terrible habit? Did you delete them yet?”
“I was just about to—”
“Delete them,” Jasper cut in firmly. “This is Ms. Carrington. She is Gigi’s godmother.”
Jett rubbed the back of his neck, shooting an apologetic glance at Hester before looking at his cousin. “Well, since we practically know each other now, is it cool if I keep them?”
“Have you forgotten how privacy laws work?” Jasper said, his tone turning completely professional. “Ms. Carrington asked you to delete them. Do it.”
Jett sighed in defeat.
Hester studied the two men, connecting the dots. “You two are brothers?”
“Cousins,” Jasper clarified softly. “He’s my uncle’s son. Jett Kane. He actually went to school for photography, but stumbled into acting by chance.”
“I know who he is.”
Hester’s gaze shifted back to Jett. “Since you’re Mr. Kane’s cousin, you don’t need to delete them. Just give me the digital files and the negatives.”
Jett’s face lit up. “Deal. Like he said, I studied photography. If you want some professional shots over the next few days, I’d be happy to be your personal photographer. The scenery here is amazing, and you and Gigi should get some great memories out of this trip.”
It was a tempting offer.
