Chapter 281 Journey to the Giant Rift
“But I seriously have no space left.”
Riley sat up straight and tossed a stack of materials into the guild’s shared storage tab.

“Whatever. I’ll dump them in the guild warehouse as basic supplies. New members can use them to make decent weapons.”
The second she finished, the guild channel exploded with over–the–top compliments again. Riley muted the notification sound without a second thought.
She closed the panel, picked up her hot cocoa, and took a small sip.
“How much longer is this snowstorm gonna last? I’m so bored I swear I’m gonna grow mold.”
Riley was used to staying busy every single day. Being forced to idle for days on end had already worn her patience thin.
Humans really were weird creatures. They craved rest when swamped with work, yet grew restless when they had too much free time.
PineappleBeer set the fully groomed gryphon down. The little creature flapped its wings and hopped onto a climbing frame nearby.
“It is pretty dull. Wanna play cards? Or have the treant build us a blackjack table?”
“Nope.” Riley waved her hands repeatedly.
“I never liked blackjack back on Blue Star. My friends almost lost their minds trying to teach me. Plus, blizzards like this don’t happen often. I’m scared we’ll get addicted and just laze around playing all day.”
They had endless coal stockpiles, and it honestly wasn’t an impossible scenario.
“Haha, it can’t be that bad. That game is seriously addictive though. Even with my messy broken memories; I still remember how to play.” PineappleBeer chuckled.
The two girls burst out laughing. Neeko tilted her head in confusion, not understanding the joke. Her big bright eyes darted between them, desperate to figure out what was so funny.
Riley stood up and walked over to the floor–to–ceiling window.

The world outside was pure white. Violent winds whipped snow everywhere, and visibility dropped below five yards. Exploring in this weather was a terrible idea. The cold drained body heat rapidly, and even orange–tier gear couldn’t keep someone comfortable outdoors for long.
“Pineapple, do you remember the giant rift behind the Nightshade Camp?” Riley asked out of nowhere.
“Yeah. You wanna check it out right now?”
A sharp glint flashed in Riley’s eyes.
“The blizzard’s blowing horizontally. Deep underground rifts shouldn’t get flooded by snow and wind. Plus, that place definitely hides secrets.”

Chapter 281 Journey to the Giant Rift
PineappleBeer’s eyes lit up. She tossed her comb onto the table.
“Let’s go. We’ve got nothing better to do anyway.“→
TartKing had just finished her chores. She took off her apron the second she heard they were going exploring.
“Give me one sec to rearrange my bag.”
She emptied most of her baking supplies to make space, then stuffed various potions she’d brewed inside.

Dessert only counted as regular food outside dungeons with no stat boosts. Potions were far more reliable for outdoor exploration.
TartKing double–checked the potion pouch tied to her waist while muttering to herself, “Fifteen Basic Cold Resistance Potions, ten Agility Potions, ten Healing Potions… and these Strength Potions I learned to make from ToxicReaper. I’ll save those for Burger. Chug one if we run into tough enemies.”
Once they finished prepping, the three girls braved the snow and walked toward the intermediate teleportation array in the yard.
The world outside the camp was buried in raging snow. Thankfully, the camp’s campfires still functioned at reduced power, keeping visibility slightly clearer within the yard.
They slotted an Energy Core into the array’s card slot. Complex runes lit up with faint blue light.
After setting the teleport anchor, the activation sequence began.
“Target Coordinates: (6585, 3428, 68).”
“Teleportation initiating.”
“Hum-”
A familiar weightless sensation washed over them.
