Chapter 411 Not Mentioned
Straits Quay Island.
Adriana had just parked and arrived home when her phone lit up with a call from Kenneth.
“Ms. Xander, you were right. Chandler’s men made a move against Danielle.”
Adriana tapped her fingers lightly on the steering wheel. “Did you pull her out?”
“We didn’t even get the chance to act before someone else stepped in. Danielle was already taken.”
Adriana felt a flicker of surprise. “Who besides us would care whether Danielle lives or dies?”
“Justin.”
The moment Kenneth said the name, Adriana’s surprise increased.
Justin?
Justin did not seem like someone who would bother saving Danielle’s life.
“Alright, I understand.”
She ended the call, stepped out of the car, and walked into the living room.
Curtis had returned early. The moment Adriana entered, he pulled her straight into his arms.

“Chandler’s men tried to kill Danielle. I planned to step in, but Justin got there first,” Adriana said with a faint smile as she looked up at Curtis.
Yes. Wherever Curtis was, that place felt like home.
‘Justin?” Curtis blinked.
He clearly felt surprised as well that Justin would interfere for Danielle.
Then Curtis seemed to understand something and laughed softly. “Forget it. He always has his own agenda.”
Curtis did not care who Justin chose to save. As long as Justin did not try to take Adriana away from him, he was perfectly content
Adriana rested her head on his shoulder. “That day when I walked around Harborpoint with Silas, he was probing me. He asked whether you were still alive. Do you think Mister is starting to suspect something?”
“Yeah. I recently helped Ainsworth Group secure a project. Maybe my moves were a bit too obvious,” Curtis said quietly while rubbing his chin against her hair. “Don’t worry. He won’t find any real evidence.”
Adriana nodded. “Curtis… Danielle came to see me at the office today and told me something.”
Curtis looked at her and saw the complicated thoughts swirling in her eyes.
He sat down on the couch, pulled her onto his lap, and smiled. “Is it about me?”

“Mm… Chandler managed to return to the Bartons because Mister planned every step behind the scenes and helped him rise. Danielle is just one of his pawns. She never met Mister directly, but she knows fragments,” Adriana said as she hugged Curtis more tightly and hid her face in the curve of his neck; she was worried the truth might hurt him. “Danielle said Mister might be connected to the Harrisons.”
Curtis stiffened briefly. He had suspected that possibility before, but he never had proof.
“In a conversation between Mister and Chandler, they mentioned Silas. Mister asked whether bringing Silas back was basically inviting trouble, as in bringing the lion back into its own den. The other side replied that since Silas carried Harrison blood, for Samuel’s sake at least, Silas would be allowed a way to survive.”
After speaking, Adriana lifted her head and carefully watched Curtis.
That statement said almost everything. Mister’s statement meant the other person must belong to the Harrisons.
But within the Harrisons, aside from Curtis‘ grandfather and uncle, there did not seem to be anyone else. “Curtis, do you have someone in mind?”
“Gary… He registered his marriage with my aunt. My aunt trusts him. And judging by his age, he doesn’t look like the mastermind who has plotted against the Lincolns for years…” Adriana said softly, trying to comfort him.
Gary should be someone they could trust, right?
“Your grandfather’s health has been poor for years. After your mother died, he rarely came around the Lincolns. He and Harold argued about your mother for a long time. And besides… he is your real grandfather, your mother’s father. He wouldn’t set up his own daughter,” Adriana added quickly, worried Curtis might overthink everything. “Curtis, is there anyone else in the Harrisons?”
Curtis‘ mind drifted far away for a moment. After a long silence, he returned to himself and kissed her forehead to reassure her. “There is one more Harrison…”
There had always been one member of the Harrison family whom no one ever mentioned to outsiders.
