Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 167

Liana looked at Natalie. So this was what it felt like to be protected by her mom. It felt wonderful.

Hanley was furious, but the fear of not being able to speak was overwhelming.

He gestured wildly at Natalie, trying to convey that he would apologize to the girl if she just gave him his voice back.

But his frantic gestures and jumping around were incomprehensible to everyone.

“Hanley, what are you doing?” Lucas taunted. “You look like a jumping monkey.”

Lucas’s words made Hanley freeze. The other children burst into gleeful laughter.

Hanley was enraged, but at the same time, he was terrified he would truly become mute if this went on any longer.

He quickly grabbed a crayon and scribbled on a piece of paper.

[Mommy, I know I was wrong. Please let me speak again.]

Natalie’s voice was low. “Are you willing to apologize?”

Hanley nodded his head so vigorously it looked like it would fall off. No matter how angry he was, he had to get his voice back first. He didn’t want to be a mute.

Natalie pricked him with the needle again, and Hanley felt a current pass through him.

“Ouch!”

Hanley clutched his throat. He could speak again! He had been scared to death.

The other children gasped in unison.

“Wow, that’s amazing! Hanley’s mom must know magic.”

“Yeah, she’s so cool and mysterious!”

“This lady said you can’t say things that hurt people. If you do, you have to apologize.”

By now, the children were looking at Natalie with pure admiration. She had saved a classmate who had fainted before, and now she had this incredible skill. In their minds, she was a magical fairy.

Hanley saw the worshipful looks they gave his mother and heard everyone siding against him. He didn’t dare to be as arrogant as before.

“Hanley, apologize to Liana,” Natalie commanded, her tone unyielding.

“Sorry,” Hanley mumbled, his voice small and reluctant.

Natalie knelt down to face Liana. “He said something he shouldn’t have. I apologize to you on his behalf.”

Liana shook her head and then made a sign with her hands.

[Natalie, you don’t have to apologize to me. I’m not angry.]
