Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 168

Seeing how Natalie defended her filled Liana with a warmth she had never felt before. She wasn't angry at all.

Natalie leaned in close to Liana. “Liana, no matter what happens, I will always be by your side.”

Natalie had worried that Liana might be unhappy on her first day due to her speech difficulties, so she had come to check on her. She never expected that someone would dare to bully Liana—and that it would be her own son.

Natalie's words made Liana happy, but for some reason, Hanley felt a pang of unhappiness.

She was his mother. How could she side with another child and help them bully him?

His auntie had told him that his mommy was now working as a nanny for the Lockwood family.

Had she become a nanny for someone else and abandoned her own son?

“Mommy,” Hanley said defiantly, “how much does the Lockwood family pay you to be their nanny? I can get Daddy to pay you double. You can’t bully your own son just to stand up for your employer’s kid.”

“Who told you Natalie is a nanny at our house?” Lucas shot back angrily. “Natalie is the most important person in our family.”

Suddenly, Liana stepped forward and shoved Hanley.

When Hanley had mocked her earlier, she hadn’t resorted to violence. But she couldn’t stand him talking to Natalie like that.

Hanley, caught off guard, stumbled and fell to the ground.

“Liana, how could you push me?” he yelled furiously. “Teacher, you saw that! Liana pushed me!”

“Huh?” the teacher said, looking flustered. “Oh, Hanley, I’m so sorry. My shoelace came undone, and I was just tying it. Did something happen?”

Hanley was livid. It was clear that even the teacher was on Liana’s side. It was infuriating.

During recess, the children gathered around Lucas and Liana, still talking about getting autographs.

Hanley walked over. “The junior program doesn’t start for three months. Can you really wait that long? Let me tell you, Mr. Mercer is good friends with my auntie. After all, my auntie was a gold medalist in the International Mathematical Olympiad. She’s a once-in-a-century math prodigy in Eldoria City. She’s very close with a fellow genius like Mr. Mercer.”

At this, the children immediately flocked to Hanley’s side.

“Is that true? Your auntie really knows Mr. Mercer?”

“Of course,” Hanley said smugly.

He shot a look at Lucas and Liana. They thought they could one-up him? Not a chance.

“If your auntie knows Mr. Mercer so well, can she arrange for us to meet him?”
