"It's... all gone?"
Liana had drunk all the medicine. Mrs. Lockwood, who had been watching from the side, was stunned.
Natalie had managed to coax Liana into drinking something so bitter. She remembered how Liana would refuse medicine even when she had a cold or a fever.
It didn't matter if it was bitter or not; she simply wouldn't take it. Forcing it down would only make her vomit it back up.
She was a child who absolutely refused medicine.
How did she become so obedient for Natalie?
Mrs. Lockwood said, "Quick, have another plum. My sweet baby, my good girl, you're just so well-behaved."
Mrs. Lockwood rushed forward to hug Liana. Her precious darling had to drink such bitter medicine; it made her grandmother's heart ache.
Natalie watched Mrs. Lockwood doting on Liana.
Liana was a lucky girl.
"Ma'am, if you could please put Liana down, I still need to do some massage on her."
"Could you please all step outside for a moment?"
Mrs. Lockwood's voice jumped an octave.
"What? Now you're kicking me out? Are you serious?"
Just then, Lucas tugged on Mrs. Lockwood's hand. "Grandma, let's just go outside. Acupuncture is a very serious procedure. We can't disturb Natalie."
Seeing Lucas trying to lead her away, Mrs. Lockwood said, puzzled, "You've always been the most protective of your sister. What if she hurts your sister? How can we not be here?"
"Grandma, don't worry. We all trust Natalie."
At that moment, Liana also made a gesture.
[Grandma, I trust Natalie too. Please go outside for now.]
Mrs. Lockwood was speechless. How were these two children calmer than she was?
They must be too young to know to be afraid.
Mrs. Lockwood finally went out, but she paced back and forth anxiously in the hallway.
Lucas's eyes grew tired from following her.
"Grandma, can you please stop pacing? You're making me dizzy."
Mrs. Lockwood said, "Aren't you usually the one most worried about your sister? Now Natalie is in there, and you don't have a word to say?"
"Calm down, Grandma. Natalie is treating my sister. Soon, she'll be able to talk and won't have to endure being mocked by others."
Hearing this, Mrs. Lockwood instantly became agitated.
"What did you say? Someone dared to mock your sister?"
An intimidating presence emanated from Terence.
"Lucas, what happened?"
Lucas explained, "When we went to school today, Hanley said my sister couldn't talk. He got the other kids to laugh at her, saying she couldn't talk because she didn't have a tongue."

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
