Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 356

Hanley even stomped on them twice for good measure. "Who wants your stupid clothes!"

He turned to leave, but Natalie's voice stopped him.

"Hanley, you stop right there!"

Hanley froze. "Mommy, did you change your mind?" he asked, a flicker of hope in his voice.

Did she really have to wait until he lost his temper before she'd agree to help his grandmother?

She was being so dramatic!

Natalie said angrily, "Hanley, Lucas was kind enough to lend you his clothes. How could you do that? Apologize to Lucas right now!"

So it wasn't about saving his grandmother. It was about making him apologize to Lucas.

His mother really was taking Lucas's side.

Hanley fumed, "I don't need his fake charity! Do you really think he brought those clothes for me to wear? He just wanted to come and laugh at me."

Lucas was speechless. He couldn't believe this. As if he actually wanted to lend the boy his clothes.

He had only done it because his sister asked. Talk about no good deed going unpunished.

"If my sister hadn't asked me to, I wouldn't have bothered lending them to you."

"Yeah, right. You're both just putting on a show!"

"Hanley, be quiet!" Natalie commanded. "You will apologize to Lucas."

"I will not."

Natalie looked at Hanley, at the hatred and anger in his eyes. He truly believed she was refusing to save his grandmother on purpose.

"I said I don't have the ability to cure your grandmother. I never said I wouldn't save her. Who told you I wouldn't help her? Was it your aunt? You trust her that much?"

Hanley remained silent, and Natalie continued, "You still listen to everything your aunt says. If that's the case, why don't you ask your aunt to find a doctor to treat your grandmother? Why did you have to come here?"

Lucas added coldly, "It's because you know Natalie is capable, but you refuse to admit it. When you need something from her, you guilt-trip her. When you don't, you put her down. Everyone in the Cross family is pretty shameless!"

"Lucas, you shut up!" Hanley snapped.

"Will my shutting up change how despicable you all are?"

Hanley's face turned pale with anger.

After a moment of silence, he looked at Natalie. "Mommy, I know I was wrong before. I shouldn't have wanted Auntie to be my mommy. But now, I'm asking you to save my grandma for me. She's been so good to me, she can't be paralyzed. Please, I'm begging you. Can you do this for me?"
