Seeing Hanley fall, Lucas and Liana rushed forward, trying to grab him. Only Terence remained motionless, his expression devoid of any panic.
“Daddy, call an ambulance!”
Lucas couldn’t bear to look and just shouted for Terence to call for help.
Terence took hold of Natalie, who stood frozen with a deathly pale face. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “He’s fine.”
Natalie snapped back to reality. It felt as if her heart had fallen with Hanley.
“R-really?” she stammered, her lips trembling.
“Really. I wouldn’t lie to you,” Terence assured her.
A little warmth returned to Natalie’s deadened heart.
At that same moment, she heard excited shouts from below.
“We caught him, he is safe!”
Natalie leaned over the edge and saw Hanley lying on an inflatable cushion. She never imagined there would be one down there.
She looked at Terence.
He must have had his staff prepare the cushion as soon as Hanley climbed onto the railing, just in case.
Natalie rushed downstairs. Hanley was lying on the cushion, his face white with fear. He never wanted to do anything foolish; he was the future heir to the Cross Group, and his life was precious.
He had just slipped. For a second, he thought he was a goner.
Thank God for the cushion. Otherwise, would he be dead right now?
“Hanley! Hanley, are you okay?”
Natalie ran up to him, her voice fraught with worry.
“Yes, sir.”
Hanley was taken to the hospital, and Natalie went with him.
After a thorough examination, the doctors confirmed Hanley was only shaken up and had no injuries.
Darren and Victoria rushed to the hospital.
“Natalie, what kind of mother are you?” Victoria demanded. “How did you let Hanley end up in the hospital?”
Darren’s gaze was heavy as he looked at Natalie. “What happened?”
Before Natalie could speak, Hanley burst into tears. “Terence pushed me off the balcony! It was Terence!”
Natalie frowned, stunned by his words. “Hanley, what nonsense are you talking about now? I saw with my own eyes that you fell by accident. If Terence hadn't arranged for that cushion, you would have lost your life. How can you still accuse him?”
“Natalie, I’ve never seen a woman so shameless that she’d risk her own son’s life for another man,” Victoria spat.

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
