"Who is my daddy meeting?"

"Ms. Marie Ward."

If he ever believed Mr. Lockwood was going on a blind date again, he was a fool.

"What are you so upset about? Didn't my daddy just say you should go? Someone has to show up, right?"

"Young Master, please don't joke around. I'm really not in the mood to laugh right now."

Philip looked utterly dejected, at a loss for what to do.

Just then, Liana tapped Philip's arm and pointed to herself.

[Me, me! Liana will go!]

Philip understood her meaning but couldn't quite believe it.

The Little Miss was going to stand in for Mr. Lockwood on a blind date? Was that appropriate?

"My sister wants to go."

"But... wouldn't that be inappropriate?"

"My sister is inappropriate? So you're the appropriate choice?"

"Uh! My apologies, my apologies."

Lucas Lockwood turned to Liana, puzzled. "Sister, why do you want to go? You want to see that... what's-her-name?"

Philip piped up from the side, "Marie."

"I know. Go away."

Liana nodded and signed with a smile.

[I have more math problems I can't solve. Liana wants to find her.]

"I'll go with you."

Lucas looked at Philip. "Where is it tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow at five in the afternoon, The Silvercrest Grand Hotel, the Velvet Crown Suite."

"Mm, got it. You can go now."

"Young Master, are you and the Little Miss really going to the blind date on Mr. Lockwood's behalf tomorrow?"

"We'll go meet her out of courtesy. Or would you rather go for my daddy?"

The moment Hanley saw his mother, he rushed into her arms.

"Mommy, don't leave me. I feel so sick."

Hanley had a delicate constitution, and she had always been so careful with his care. She had only been gone for a little while, and this had happened.

"Go get my first-aid kit."

As Natalie was treating Hanley, Victoria suddenly returned.

Seeing the red rash on Hanley's body, Victoria's face twisted in anger. "I was only gone for a moment! How did the young master have another allergic reaction? You bunch of idiots!"

She berated the servants while Hanley's condition stabilized under Natalie's care.

"Hanley, how are you feeling? Does anywhere else feel uncomfortable?"

Victoria asked anxiously. Hanley replied, "I'm okay now, thanks to Mommy. Mommy's medical skills are amazing."

Natalie felt a pang of emotion. She couldn't remember the last time her son had praised her.

"That's right. Your mommy is a skilled doctor and takes wonderful care of you. You have a delicate constitution. Only a real mother would be so attentive."

Natalie's eyes turned cold. Victoria was actually speaking well of her. She must be biting her tongue.
