After the initial shock, Grace calmed down. “I’m sorry. Did I cause you trouble again? How can it be fifty years… But still… it’s good that we’ve grown old together.”
“You have dementia now. Fifty years have passed.”
“So it’s really been fifty years,” Grace said. “Then this child isn’t my son… is he our grandson?”
“Mom, they are your great-grandchildren. He’s your great-grandson, and this little girl is your great-granddaughter.”
“My great-grandson and great-granddaughter. They’re beautiful,” Grace said with a happy smile. Then she suddenly asked, “But what about my son? And my grandson?”
“Your grandson is right here.”
Natalie quickly wheeled Terence forward.
“So this is my grandson. He’s so handsome. But why is he in a wheelchair? Is his leg hurt? You have to see a doctor if you’re injured.”
Edgar cut in. “His legs can’t be fixed. He’ll be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. That’s why he can’t be the head of the Lockwood family. We’ll let our other grandson, Simon, take over.”
Simon stepped forward eagerly. “Grandma, Grandma.”
Hearing Simon call her ‘Grandma’ made Mrs. Lockwood’s skin crawl.
He wasn’t so respectful earlier, when he was calling her an old hag.
Grace looked at Simon, then back at Edgar. “Is he our grandson, too?”
Edgar nodded. “Yes, he’s our grandson as well.”
Mrs. Lockwood felt physically ill hearing that.
“Really? But look at your double eyelids, and mine. My son had double eyelids, and my older grandson does too. How did we end up with this one grandson who looks like a rodent?”
Simon was so angry he could have burst a lung.
“If you don’t like his monolids, we can have him get surgery to change them,” Edgar said.
Simon was speechless. Was his own grandfather criticizing his looks now?
“Surgery? You can get surgery on your eyelids?”
“That’s a minor detail. The important thing is that he’s very capable and can manage the company for our family. Terence is a cripple now, and it’s a bad look for him to be the president of the company.”
Grace frowned. “Edgar, how can you say such a thing? It doesn’t matter if he’s injured, he’s still our grandson. What kind of grandfather calls his own grandson a cripple? Are you really his grandfather?”

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
