Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 536

Mrs. Lockwood kicked him squarely.

“Are you a monkey? Stop hopping around like a maniac. You’ll hurt Natalie. Now get lost!”

Edgar Lockwood was her husband’s father; she couldn’t do much about him.

But a little punk like this? She could certainly teach him a lesson.

Just then, Natalie pricked Simon with the needle again.

“Why did you kick me? I’m grandfather’s favorite grandson!”

Simon was overjoyed to find he could speak again, but his face quickly hardened as he glared at Natalie. “Natalie, what kind of dark magic did you use? I’ll remember this. We’ll settle the score later. You’d better watch yourself. Of course, if you end up in prison, I can’t exactly chase you in there, can I? Remember this next time, don’t be so arrogant.”

Fearing retaliation, Simon scurried off faster than a rabbit, which made Mrs. Lockwood laugh.

“That little brat runs so fast. If you’ve got the guts, don’t run.”

Mrs. Lockwood turned to Natalie. “Natalie, you shouldn’t have fixed him. You should have just let him stay quiet forever!”

“I considered it, but I was worried he’d just be a nuisance to you.”

Natalie had to go out. If Simon couldn’t speak, he would undoubtedly make a scene and turn the Lockwood estate upside down.

She didn’t want Mrs. Lockwood and the others to be driven crazy by him.

“They’re unbelievable! Claiming to be long-lost relatives, only to show up and mock us the moment we have a problem! It’s a good thing you’re so mentally strong, Natalie. Anyone else would have died from anger after what they said.”

Mrs. Lockwood thought to herself that if Natalie had saved Marcus Ward and gotten the Ward family shares, that old man and the boy would have had a fit. They couldn't stand to see her succeed.

But Mrs. Lockwood didn’t say it out loud, not wanting to upset Natalie.

“I don’t care if they want to gloat or whatever. I have more important things to do right now.”

“I’ll go with you.”

“You’re bankrupt but can still afford a hotel. plenty of people have it worse than you.”

Natalie was long past the point of being manipulated by Victoria. Their misery wasn't her fault.

Victoria couldn’t believe Natalie had become so cold-hearted. Was she really unmoved by Hanley’s suffering?

Natalie knelt down to face Hanley, her expression serious. “Hanley, I need to ask you something. At the hospital, the bouquet of flowers you gave me… did Marie tell you to bring it?”

Hanley froze for a second. His aunt had been right.

“Mommy, are you still not going to leave Auntie alone? The police already let her go. That proves she didn’t do anything wrong. Why won’t you just let it go?”

“I’m just asking if Marie told you to bring those flowers. Just answer yes or no. You don’t need to rush to her defense.”

How could Natalie not feel a pang of sadness?

She had only asked one question, and he was already so desperate to protect Marie.
