How could Natalie get all of the Ward family's assets? And just like that, without lifting a finger.
What about all her years of scheming, of trying to set up Darren and Marie? What did all that amount to now?
Hadn't she just shot herself in the foot? If she hadn't meddled so much, Marcus would have eventually discovered Marie wasn't his real sister on his own. He would have found Natalie, and all of the Ward family's wealth would have become part of their family.
So, after all that maneuvering, she had only managed to screw herself over.
Hanley looked from the TV to Victoria. “Grandma, they said Mommy is the real Ms. Ward, and they're giving all the money to her. Does that mean Mommy is going to be super rich now?”
Hanley's words were another dagger to Victoria's heart. She felt like she couldn't breathe, like she was about to faint.
The woman she had always looked down on turned out to be a real princess.
She was furious.
No, she couldn't let Natalie get away with this so easily.
If she gets the Ward family's fortune, she has to give it to the Cross family! That's right, they had Hanley. They had to get it back!
Meanwhile, Darren watched the television with a grave expression. He didn't care if she was the real Ms. Ward or not. What bothered him was that her heart belonged only to Terence, and that she was still living with the Lockwoods. Did she have any idea who she was supposed to be?
Terence took the documents and handed them to the butler. “Return these to the Wards. Tell them Natalie doesn't want their things because she doesn't want to be responsible for their retirement. Also, tell them to stop live-streaming at our front gate!”
Outside the gate, the Ward family was still speaking to the cameras, pleading for Natalie to see them.
After being told that Natalie wouldn't see them—and that Terence had effectively blacklisted them from ever seeing her again—they had decided to contact the media, hoping a live broadcast would allow them to speak to Natalie and show her their sincerity.
Marcus said, “Natalie, I hope you can give me and our parents a chance to make it up to you. We were foolish, deceived, and played for fools. I also blame myself for not finding you sooner. If I had found you a year earlier, you would have been spared so much suffering, and so many things would never have happened.”
If he had found Natalie a year ago, so many things would have been different.

I think Terence must know something isn't right about Angela, that's why he agreed to figure it out....
Marie needs to be gone, she has caused enough trouble for Natalie. This is getting boring!...
This fiasco needs to end. Natalie and Terrance need to be together and in my mind somehow those twins are Natalie’s....
Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
