“How is it a complication? You’re my sister!”
Marcus gripped Natalie’s shoulders tightly. She frowned, and he immediately realized he was being too forceful, letting go and apologizing profusely.
“I’m so sorry, Natalie. I was too rough. It’s my fault. If only I’d found you sooner, you wouldn’t have had to suffer so much. I’m sorry, it’s all my fault.”
Elaine Ward scolded Marcus, “Use your words, not your hands! Did you hurt your sister?”
Richard also looked at Natalie with concern. “That boy is so clumsy. Did he hurt you?”
Natalie watched the Wards’ frantic concern, and it wasn't that she felt nothing.
But her entire life had taught her to keep her heart guarded. Especially with these three, who had once been Marie’s family.
She’d never wanted to take anything that belonged to Marie. The feeling was a confusing mix of emotions she couldn’t name, and it made her want to run.
“I’m not made of glass. A little force won’t break me,” she said, her tone still cool.
Onlookers began to whisper among themselves.
“This Natalie is being so ungrateful. It’s a bit much.”

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
