The Ward parents looked at Natalie, their eyes filled with pain. This was their daughter.
Their daughter, who had been stolen from them and lost for over twenty years.
Even in such difficult circumstances, she had relied on her own abilities to become a researcher.
She was so brilliant. She didn't need their luxury cars or Hermès bags. Were they wrong to bother her like this?
With great resolve, Elaine Ward went back to the car and returned with a thermos.
“Natalie, this is some chicken soup I made for you. I know you don’t want anything from us, but… could you please just accept the soup?”
Elaine’s eyes were filled with longing. Natalie hesitated.
Marcus pleaded with a hopeful look, “Please take it, Natalie. Mom got up at the crack of dawn to make it for you. She just wants to make sure you’re taking care of yourself.”
The entire Ward family watched her, their gazes intense. Natalie knew how much they wanted her to accept.
She took the thermos. “I’ll take this. But please take everything else back. This is a workplace. Don’t bring things here again; it disturbs everyone.”
“I understand, Natalie. We won’t bother you here again. Today is Mom’s birthday. Would you… have dinner with us tonight?”
“I’ve accepted the soup, but I’m sorry, I can’t attend Mrs. Ward’s birthday party. I have a project I need to work on.”
Though she used work as an excuse, they all knew Natalie still wanted nothing to do with them.
Elaine's disappointment was palpable. When she left the house that morning, she had fantasized about her real daughter celebrating with them, about their family finally being whole.
Richard saw his wife's sorrow and gently took her hand. “Our daughter is a researcher. She’s busy with work. It’s alright. There will be other opportunities.”
She deserved to die! Die!
Marie’s eyes glinted with malice as she turned to the man beside her. “Kill her for me!”
“Yes.”
The man was completely dead-eyed, moving with a chilling, robotic precision toward Natalie.
As the killer approached his target, Marie’s heart swelled with triumph.
She had been trying to find an opportunity to get rid of Natalie for a while, but Terence’s bodyguards were too vigilant. Every time she got close, they were there, and she never had a clean shot.
But now, with this crowd providing the perfect cover, she could finally have her killer strike!

I think Terence must know something isn't right about Angela, that's why he agreed to figure it out....
Marie needs to be gone, she has caused enough trouble for Natalie. This is getting boring!...
This fiasco needs to end. Natalie and Terrance need to be together and in my mind somehow those twins are Natalie’s....
Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
