Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 69

"A thank you from me is worth far more than your medical fee!"

Terence's gaze was sharp. Natalie gave an awkward smile. Why was this man so arrogant? Did she look cheap?

Natalie laughed it off, not wanting to make things more awkward for herself.

"For a man like you, saying thank you is probably more painful than losing a part of your fortune. But frankly, I'm not interested in your thanks or your money. I'll be leaving now."

For Natalie, the most pressing matter was finding a job.

Besides supporting herself, the people on the other end were demanding money again.

"Whether you want it or not is your business. Whether I give it or not is mine."

Terence shot a cold look at his assistant. "Transfer one million into her account."

Philip acted immediately.

A moment later, a notification sounded.

[One million has been credited to your account.]

At that moment, Natalie suddenly understood how this chatty assistant managed to stay by the side of a man like Terence.

He was efficient.

"Not enough? I can add more."

Natalie smiled calmly. "You're quite generous. In that case, I won't be polite."

Natalie's gaze on Terence suddenly sharpened.

Terence frowned slightly. What did that look mean?

"You get what you pay for. My skills might not be worth a million, but your legs definitely are."

Terence's eyes grew dark. The last time they met, this woman had said she wanted to treat his legs.

"Well… just write me a prescription. Let's see if you really have what it takes. I'm not doing this because I believe you; I'm testing your medical skills for Mr. Lockwood's sake."

"Testing? Does your boss also suffer from frequent urination and a weak kidney?"

A death glare from Terence made Philip wish he could disappear.

Natalie smirked, then turned back to Terence. "I won't take your money for free. Let me treat your legs."

"That won't be necessary. My legs can't be fixed."

Terence's voice was cool and languid, yet it carried an immense sense of pressure.

"How will you know if you don't try? Are you afraid of massage?"

Natalie met Terence's sharp gaze without flinching. Philip whispered, "Are you tired of living? How dare you speak to Mr. Lockwood like that."

"To you, he's Mr. Lockwood. But to me, he's just a patient. A very stubborn one at that."
