Lucas shot back angrily, "Are you a crow? You're too noisy!"

Philip shut his mouth, then mumbled under his breath.

"The young miss is so scared of her. She must have a bad vibe, or maybe the young miss can sense she's not a good person."

Lucas huffed, "You're the one who's not a good person! Your whole family aren't good people!"

Seeing Liana's distress, Terence was about to step forward to comfort her, but Natalie beat him to it.

"Hey, little one, don't be scared. Do you remember me? We've met before."

Natalie was just trying to soothe the girl, assuming she might not remember her.

But to her surprise, the little girl started crying even harder.

"You're still trying to get close to our young miss, but she clearly doesn't like you. You should just go."

Seeing the child recoil from her, Natalie felt a pang of sadness. She had really liked the little girl from their first meeting, but it seemed the feeling wasn't mutual.

"Since she's alright, I'll be going now."

Before leaving, Natalie took out the gold pendant and handed it to Lucas. "I'm not sure how this ended up with me, but I think it belongs to you."

Just then, Liana looked up and saw the gold pendant in Natalie's hand. It was a matching set with the one her brother had given her.

Lucas said urgently, "Ma'am, I wanted to give that to you. Please keep it. Consider it a thank you for saving my sister today. Pretty lady, have you met my sister before?"

Natalie explained, "Your little sister came to me with a math problem a while ago. She's incredibly smart. It's rare to see a child her age doing advanced mathematics. But I think I might have scared her."

"But my sister said the person who taught her was named Marie?"
