Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 7

“Natalie, are you leaving us because you’re tired of us old folks?”

“Of course not, Ms. Marsh. I love all of you very much, but I’m going abroad.”

“Going abroad? Why all of a sudden? I heard your husband is Darren, the CEO of the Cross Group. The company is doing well, isn’t it? Why are you leaving?”

Natalie had never told anyone her husband’s identity, but Ms. Marsh had her ways of finding things out.

After all, she was the former head of the Umbra Network, the world's top intelligence organization.

“He won’t be my husband for much longer.”

Natalie’s eyes clouded over, but she managed to force a smile.

“Natalie, did that Darren fellow hurt you? We’ll go teach him a lesson.”

Charles Fairchild started to get up, grumbling, but Natalie stopped him.

“Old Mr. Fairchild, please don’t be angry. It’s alright, really. I’m over it. You don’t need to confront him.”

“Natalie, do you think we’re just a bunch of helpless old men in a nursing home? You think we can’t stand up for you? Let me tell you, this group of old-timers still knows how to handle a scoundrel.”

“That’s not it, Old Mr. Fairchild. I just don’t see the point in getting tangled up with him any further. I just want to take my son and leave Eldoria City.”

“I understand, Natalie. But if you ever need anything, you must promise to tell us, alright?”

“Grandpas and grandmas, I know you all care for me. I’ll handle my own affairs. Please don’t worry. I should get going now.”

Natalie packed her medical kit, said her goodbyes to all the residents, and left.

The moment she was gone, Charles Fairchild’s face hardened with fury. He pulled out his phone.

“Cancel the partnership with the Cross Group.”

He had only considered working with them because of Natalie.
