Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 897

The Starfall Club.

Outside the glass walls, young women in skimpy dresses swayed to the heavy bass, their movements seductive as dollar bills rained down around them, smelling faintly of expensive liquor.

In the dim, fragmented light, men indulged in the intoxicating pleasures that power afforded them.

"Damn it! Guess who that bastard was? Cedric! The old hound that follows Caspian Ravenshire around!"

Separated by a glass wall, Kael tipped his head back and downed a glass of red wine, his eyes gleaming with unrelenting excitement.

Preston's wrist stiffened, the crimson liquid swirling against the sides of his glass.

Kael clicked his tongue, popping the cork on another bottle of wine. "Never would've guessed it. He hid it well. The Ravenshire family is going to put on a spectacular show."

Preston looked up. "Did you agree to his demands?"

"Yeah, of course. Didn't you tell me to agree to whatever they wanted first?"

Kael was still riding the high of uncovering the Ravenshire family's darkest secret.

This was simply too perfect. Everyone thought the head butler, Cedric, was Caspian's most loyal right-hand man. Who would have thought he had a heart completely rotten to the core?

The Ravenshire family had stood undisputed in Stormhollow for so many years entirely because Caspian was their immovable anchor. But now, it seemed that anchor could be shaken.

If Cedric stabbed the old man in the back, things were going to get very messy for the Ravenshire family.

If it had been anyone else, Kael might have investigated further, but with Cedric showing up personally, there was no room for doubt.

It couldn't possibly be that the Ravenshire patriarch wanted Kael's little side hustle and sent his dog to steal it, right? If that were the case, Kael would just accept losing the casino.

Preston thought for a moment. "Did you sign the contract?"

"Naturally." Kael grinned, leaning heavily on his cane as he leaned in close. "Preston, what's our next move? This is the perfect opportunity. Once we crush the Ravenshire family, Athelvia will be ours to command."

Preston took a slow sip of his wine and smoothly pulled out his phone.

Kael looked confused. "What are you doing?"

"Telling Vivienne that the mole has surfaced," Preston replied casually.

"Damn it!" Kael's fiery excitement vanished in an instant. "You've got to be kidding me! This is classified intel that could bring down the Ravenshire family, and you're using it as bait?"

Having sent the text, Preston noticed Kael looking as if he'd swallowed a fly. In a rare display of patience, he explained, "She avoids me like the plague. If the bait isn't enticing enough, she won't bite."

Kael rolled his eyes. "She's just a woman. Sleep with her a few times and she'll fall in line."

"It's not that simple."

Vivienne wasn't avoiding him out of fear. He had this lingering suspicion that she understood him far too well.

"Whatever! I swear you're addicted to that little lunatic. Let me warn you, she's wicked. Watch your back, or you'll end up playing yourself right into a trap."

Preston simply smiled. He turned and tapped the glass. Immediately, the two beautiful women waiting outside the door slipped into the room.
