Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 105

Parker

He rolled Belladonna over to her side and watched the blood pooled in her mouth flow out and cleared her airway. Not that it really helped. He found it was still forming, and he didn’t really know what to do with her. She had from what he could tell a broken or fractured sternum and likely several ribs as well. That was why she’d had blood spurt from her mouth.

“Sweet Goddess.” He heard Shannon’s voice come from next to him as he mind–linked to Annette.

‘Belladonna is bleeding internally, broken sternum and ribs, blood pooling in her chest around her heart, I think. She’s not breathing, her heart rate is erratic. He told her as he picked her up, he had to be on the move. He was no doctor but knew she needed one.

‘What?’ Annette gasped herself, and he felt her pull on his tether, knew she was trying to locate him inside the pack.

‘Do breathe for her or not?‘ he rapped out.

‘No, just get her here as fast as you can. Annette stated ‘How long has she been like that?”

‘Maybe a minute, he answered.

‘Move your ass Parker, I’ll clear the way, surgical bay one.‘ she told him,

He was already on the move and Vex was giving him his all right at that minute. Neither he nor his beast

wanted her to die and lose her. He knew Shannon was tracking him back as well. He didn’t ask a million

questions either, understood he was going to be in contact with Annette and that was more important

than talking to him right this minute.

Annette had cleared the way and had nurses at the pack hospital holding all the doors open and standing

in the hallways pointing the way to where he needed to go so he didn’t miss a turn and have to back track.

Directed him right into the surgical bay.

Where he put her down, and was unceremoniously shoved out of the way as Annette started dishing out orders to the team of nurses here. They were cutting away at her clothing in a matter of seconds to

expose her chest.

He stood there and watched as she was intubated and connected to an ambu bag and one of the nurses was using it to get oxygen into Belladonna. ECG leads were being attached to her as Annette used an ultrasound machine to look and see what was going on within her chest.

A hand curled around his arm and he turned to see Shannon staring at him. “What the hell happened to

her?”

“Freya was ripped from her by the Moon Goddess herself.” He stated, “It’s up to us now to save her.”

“Whit and Milly?” Shannon murmured. “They’ll feel her sever from them if her heart stops.”

He nodded, but there was nothing that he could do about that. He also knew the connection would re–establish if she was resuscitated quickly enough or their bond was very strong. “Go to them, stay with them.” Parker nodded. “Her first concern upon waking up will be her children. She knew this was going to happen, was afraid she’d die.”

“Alpha.” He heard Annette state, heard the urgency in her voice as the alarms of the machines started going off.

He looked at them and then to her, understood her as Vex panicked inside him. She was crashing right before their very eyes. “Surgical intervention is needed,” she told him,

“Do it, do whatever you have to Annette, do not lose her,” he stated, and heard her rap her more orders to her team. He was pulling on all of his bloodline as an Alpha to push past the fear of her dying right before his eyes, to do what needed to be done in order to save her, and only stepped out of the room when he was told to leave as Annett picked up the scalpel to cut her open.

He stood out in the hallway and looked down at himself, his hands were covered in Belladonna’s blood and there was some of it on his shirt sleeve from where he’d carried her. It had taken less than five minutes for Annette to send him out of that surgical bay.

He mind–linked to Kane about Whit and Milly even though he knew Shannon had headed off in that direction, Whit and Milly were going to freak out completely and need him. He’d had a twin sister that had died not long after they’d been born, and the man could use his gift on both women and men. Unusual, but they’d put it down to him having a twin sister once who would have been able to do that herself her gift had passed on to him, they thought.

‘Unaware of anything going on, Kane told him, ‘I’m also not about to freak them out. I think best we don’t

say anything at this point.’

Parker could hear what was being said inside that surgical bay, and he was unhappy about hearing her

heart had just stopped beating, and CPR was being performed. He ran a hand through his hair. It was up to

him now, so as long as they didn’t stop working on her, she should pull through was how he was taking

that.
