Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 115

115

Parker

He’d not done anything at all. Despite Belladonna thinking he’d swayed Annette, she’d simply looked at all the stairs while standing on the ground floor, as she’d listened to the children play on the top floor. Heard them running around, then had muttered she runs everywhere, and walking the stairs slowly at first is needed.

Made the decision off how well she Belladonna from when she’d lived inside this pack. The woman rarely walked anywhere when she was needed. Always ran and Parker knew she still did that. She’d looked at him and he’d nodded but said nothing.

Annette had turned and looked at him and stated, “You still have a suite in the packhouse ready for her and the children, yes?”

“Yes.” He’d nodded. “It’ll stay that way always why?” and it would. He had been set up at the same time as this house had been, and was next door to his new Alpha Suite.

“Good, I think that’ll be a better option.” Annette nodded. “I don’t want her over doing it and being wolfen. Well, she might just push herself harder than allowed when not under direct supervision.”

Listening to Belladonna now in the medical suite try and find away out of him being the one to look after her, and her posing Meredith as that person. He was certain Meredith would take up her old role as the Luna’s omega. She’d liked Belladonna and been treated well by her, had refused to be Carina’s Omega.

She’d been right to as well. Carina had gone through several omegas because none were up to her

standards. So, in the end, he’d gotten rid of the role, and she’d not had one at all, because she couldn’t

treat them with any respect unless he was there, and it was begrudging respect which had been dropped

the moment he’d walked away from his understanding. And in the end, none wanted to be her personal

omega.

Belladonna, however, had had Meredith right there for her from the day she’d arrived, and been with her

the full eight years, so it was a good idea. He’d also seen them sit down for a chat in that first week,

catching up with each other. And she’d popped into the hospital twice in the past five days to see how

Belladonna was doing.

“I understand it might be a bit awkward having me there at night, but it’s not like I’ve never spent the night

in your room before. Eight years we were together, and I was there for all of your heats as well, and I’d occasionally spend all night there with you just because I wanted to. Not because of your heat.”

“That was very different and only about sex.” She told him.

“Mm, I guess it was on your end…” and he knew that was how she’d always seen it, and he wasn’t about to try and change her mind on her view of how they’d been during their mate bond. She had a right to her own feelings. “So, yes, I guess this would be very different to that. This is me asking you to let me look after you, because that is what I want. But if you really don’t want that, it’s fine.

“But I believe Meredith always did go home for the night and only worked from eight to four and, having a family of her own to look after now, you’ll still need someone there overnight. I’d like to show you I can be fully relied on to take care of you,” he told her, and he did want that.

He was doing everything he could to show her he wanted this, them to come back together and that it would be very different and work out. That he could make her happy, that he wanted her for her. That he and Vex were still attracted to her.

Though Vex made it very clear on his own, he looked at her, and he’d purred for her several times over the past five days when she’d smiled at him for one thing or another. It had shocked her, but not as much as his beast growling at her all softly and filled with desire once. She’d blinked at him, understood exactly what it meant and turned away, blushed even.

Which had only excited his beast even more. To know he could elicit that kind of response from her, it meant she not only understood Vex, but liked it as well; the thought of his beast being attracted to her and wanting her.

“I’m not going to be there only to seduce you, Belladonna.” He openly teased her a little, like he’d done nearly every day these past five days, when the children had gone off for this or that. Kept it light but playful. “If that’s your concern,” He murmured softly as she got back into the bed.

He walked over to her and smiled at her. “Not allowed to… I’ve read all the do’s and don’ts post–surgery for

you.”

She sighed and stared at him. It was just him and her in here now, Annette having left for them to discuss

it properly. “But I get the feeling you will, the moment you’re allowed to,” she murmured.

“Mm, I might.” He admitted honestly. “But how can I not when I love you, and want to be with you. We were

he smiled. “Very compatible in that department if I recall correctly.” They had been.

“But this is not that,” he amended. “I would like for you to see me, us, as a proper family, because that is

“Parker, I’ve not even met my beast yet, and I don’t want her thinking that she has no choice, simply because, well… if you’re living with Whit and Milly, myself, it will seem that way to her… Freya said something to me that concerns me about her.” she sighed heavily “I have to take that into consideration.

“Would you tell me what that is? Maybe I could alleviate your fears on that. I’m not going anywhere, and I wouldn’t ever want to hurt your wolf, or make her feel…” he thought about it for only a moment. “Like you

Chapter 115 1

“Freya told me that my wolf is angry and wants to be free. From what I saw, she rages to have her freedom. I kind of understand that myself, not the rage but the need. So I have to let her have that. Please

seems I was being a little more than selfish and hadn’t considered that; your wolf in all of this.”
