She turned her face up to look at Parker as she heard him hurry across the room, and saw him still, as did both Whitney and Milly for that matter. They were all looking at her with openly shocked expressions.
“Mummy.” Milly then suddenly giggled and painted at her. “Your eyes are so pretty.” And then she ran over to her and smiled and really looked at her.
It was then that Bella realised it was not only her looking at them, that Venus was looking at them or had been. She was now focused on Milly, who had her hands on her face, smiling at her “Bright and pretty blue. Milly smiled at her. She was eye level with her daughter, who looked very happy to see what Bella could only suppose, was Venus’s eye colour.
Bella thought about it only for a moment and then tried to relinquish control to her wolf, who was now it seemed able to surface and look about. Bella felt herself get pushed to the back of her mind, as Venus pushed forward all the way, to be fully on the surface; for the very first time, in full control of her body.
Bella watched from behind her wolf’s Venus reached out and touched Milly’s little face. She was so very gentle with her as she touched her cheek and then ran a hand through her curls, and Bella could feel the love from her beast for the little girl filling her.

Then she just leaned forward and touched her forehead to Milly’s sighing softly into the room. “Daughter.” She murmured softly and then just pulled Milly into her lap and hugged her. Resting her cheek on the top of Milly’s head.
Bella felt pain touch her chest in more places than one, at the action, her sternum wasn’t yet fully healed and that particular motion had caused them to feel pain radiating through her ‘Broken sternum and ribs.‘ She told Venus as her wolf felt a bit confused about why they were in pain.
Then there was that tingling sensation suddenly spreading throughout her chest, and she knew her beast was trying to heal her injuries already. That was a nice feeling, though it was light, not the usual harsh stabbing of pins and needles sensation that one would normally get. It would be slow–going, she thought, due to how light it felt.
Venus finally released Milly and turned her attention to Whitney, who was standing there next to Parker just watching her. She moved her eyes over their son, slowly taking him all in, and Whit actually raised a hand and waved at her. “Hi.” He stated.
“Hello my son. I finally meet you,” she stated in her soft but gravelly voice.
He smiled at her. “You are?” Whit asked curiously. He’d always known Freya as his mother’s wolf. This would be as new to him as it was Milly, though Milly didn’t seem to have an issue with it.
“Your mother, I am Venus.” She told him as her eyes met his once more, and she reached her hand out to touch him. “It was I that named you. My human couldn’t decide.” Venus stated and shook her head.”

Indecisive creature she is.”
That completely surprised Bella, and she did recall she’d not been able to choose a name, mostly because she had no idea what Parker himself would want to call their son. She’d had no input, and her decision had been hers and hers alone, and it was the first time she’d had to really make a big decision like that for herself, something which she’d found hard to do.
Freya had been of no use to her whatsoever, had outright refused to help her, but now all these years later she could understand that. Whitney was not Freya’s child. He was Venus’s child. And that name she’d thought she’d come up with… she’d woken up from a dream with the name Whitney rolling around inside her mind, that had been the day after he’d been born.
Bella now wondered if Freya had communicated with Venus in order to let her beast choose a name for their son because, seeing as she’d not been able to do it herself. Or maybe her true wolf’s desire to name her own child had filtered to Freya, and Freya had allowed it, seeing as she’d never get to be there on the surface to help raise him, show him she loved him and cared for him, wouldn’t be able to play with him.
She watched from behind Venus‘ eyes as she beckoned Whitney to her, and he smiled and stepped over to her, reached out and touched her face, really looked at her brilliant blue eyes. “I think the blue in Frey’s eyes was always a little bit of your blue shining through, it’s the same colour.” He told her “Like there was… more to Freya when she looked at me. A funny feeling of two that loved me, kind of tickled and made me laugh.”
Her son smiled at Venus and then just hugged her before she could hug him and Bella bit her lip inside Venus‘ mind, she could feel love really rolling off of Venus, and a little pain for all that she had missed as well. Their son had always kind of known that Venus was there. His kin bond, it seemed, wasn’t to Freya herself, but actually to Venus, as was Milly’s, she now realised.
That was why neither of them had felt her sever and die during that surgery, because Venus was still attached to them and hadn’t been dead. Bella just needed to be reborn, her heart had to stop and restart for the gifting of a wolf to her. Likely was never going to die, just kind of in limbo, she supposed.
Only from there did she turn and look up at Parker, from the confines of Bella’s mind, and she felt it, pain touched her beast at the sight of him. They could see his eyes were flickering from blue to grey, indicating that he and Vex were talking to each other as they watched her wolf with their children for the first time.
“Got your wolf I see.” Parker spoke as she sat there and just stared up at him, not knowing what to say to. him, in return. She had a feeling that if Freya had not cut them off from their own heart, she would likely have fallen in love with him.
