Belladonna
She clicked the button as she sat to read the message, and she was more than surprised by it. It was from an Alpha Gretta of a Wolfen College out in New Mexico, and she was requesting a meet and greet for an interview. Stated there at Alpha College, dislocations and broken bones happened all the time, and that if she was interested, she could take up a two–year residency and finish off that orthopaedic residency she was in the middle of within the college itself. To call her back, to discuss it, and then her in office hours
were listed.
Bella checked the time and the location of that Alpha College, it was two states away, and Alpha Gretta should still be in her office so she put that call in right away. Happy to be able to find work and in an Alpha College, she’d never been to one of those before, so that would be interesting to see. She was too old to attend it now, but it would be nice to know what life there was like, see if she’d missed out on anything
important.
She might even be allowed to peruse the library and maybe pick up on some education, of the things she should have been sent off to learn but hadn’t been, due to being a bastard child of the Alpha who had not rights at all to something like that.
But, an Alpha College that was a guaranteed safe haven. For her, a Rogue female, no harm would come to her under the Councils watch, and she’d be among lots of Alpha bloods too. That could be fun for her, she wasn’t that old and well might just be able to get her itch scratched. She shook that off, had to stop thinking about sex, she’d sorted her own needs out this morning, had to woken up frustratingly hot and bothered in the middle of the night, and nearly cursed Parker’s name, for not being there to sort her out.
Gretta was nice, professional and asked where she was situated, wanted her to come in for a full interview. Belladonna was quiet for a moment, then bit the bullet and told her she was of rogue status, that that had happened just a few days ago. She heard the woman huff, then Gretta stated “Do you feel you need an escort to come and get you? I can send some warriors to collect you.” then she’d just chuckled herself “I could send some Alpha pups on a mission, they’ll love getting out of the grounds for a
day or two.”
“No, I was given a car upon rejection and allowed to leave. It wasn’t a bad situation that saw me go rogue. Just now have no pack currently. Hmm, between packs you could say.”
“I’ll send through the address. Where are you?”
“Oklahoma City,” She answered.
There was silence and some typing could be heard, “Hmm, that’s an 8 to 9–hour drive…if you leave at first light you can be here by the end of the day. I’ll put you up in a room here at the college when you get here.”
“Thank you, Alpha Gretta.”
“No problem, you’re alpha–blooded. Which college did you attend? I’ll pull your records up and get a good
+25 Points
look at you prior to your arrival.”
“Oh…um, I was never sent.” She sighed now, wondering if that was going to hinder her in getting the job.
“Why not?” came the reply.
She sighed heavily “Bastard daughter of and Alpha, not well received or wanted.”
“Stupid man, I’ll get his details from you later. I’ll see you tomorrow. Take your time and if you get into
trouble call me right away.”
She thanked her once more and smiled to herself. Checked the route on her phone. It was pretty much a straight line west. Just had to exit Oklahoma City on to highway 40 and stay on it until the Sandia Heights turn off. An easy drive that would take her two states away; that was good.
She didn’t know anyone out there at all. Hopefully, this would be the start of a new life for her and Freya. She set about packing her room up and called reception to let them know she’d be checking out first thing
in the morning.
Showered and frowned once more as her belly ached once again, put her hand on it and massaged it to try and ease the cramping, only to still as she thought about what she was actually doing, feeling, had been doing now for the past few hours. Turned that shower off and dried off, really thought about it, as a doctor for pregnant she–wolves would.
No, she told herself, they’d not once in eight years gotten pregnant, and Parker had knotted every time she was in heat. It couldn’t be, she bit her lip, couldn’t hear anything or feel anything but that cramping sensation and her rubbing her belly all the time was indicative of a pup’s rapid growth.
