Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 31

Parker

+25 Points

He’d stood standing in the Alpha hallway, that pack card lay on the ground before his feet, because Carina had just hurled it at him when he’d told her to hand it over, or he’d be forcibly holding her down to collect it. She’d grabbed it from her handbag, and it had smacked him right in the chest and bounced off him to

fall to the floor.

Parker stood there shocked by her words and raised an eyebrow at that statement from her about him being vindictive? He wasn’t cruel, mean or vindictive, and he’d clearly warned her that this would happen if they took a hit on the stock market, it was just him following through on his words. He was treating her no differently to any other inside his pack.

He’d pushed into that suite, and she’d turned on him, and ranted about how he was trying to punish her for just wanting to be recognised, out there as his wife, as was her right to be, because she was his Mate and

Luna.

Then she had just yelled at him that he would rather the humans see him with his ex, and not her. That he didn’t know how much that hurt her, and she was just trying to let everyone know that she loved him and he, her. Not that other she–wolf.

Yet all he did about it, was to punish her, that he made her sign contracts and threatened to stop her modelling career before it even got started. That he’d denied her pack funds because she simply wasn’t his ex, who was apparently, ‘fucking perfect‘.

Then she told him it wasn’t her fault that the stocks in his company had dropped. That he should be out there protecting her from those horrid reporters; that were fixated on her one tiny flaw of not going to college. They wouldn’t give her a chance because they thought his ex was better than she was.

That this was why one didn’t go mating themselves off to just any old she–wolf, and not wait for their Goddess–Gifted. That he was the one himself that had created all the problems that she was now facing. That were happening to his company, because in reality, if he’d never mated himself to Belladonna, or bloody announced her as his wife, they wouldn’t be having this problem.

That he was responsible for what was happening in the here and now, and yet he was here and blaming her for all that was going on, when it was actually all his fault. That the people out there were only looking for bad things about her, because they wanted to show her as that, the gold–digging mistress; which they’d labelled her as without even knowing her, instead of his lawful and legal wife, because he wouldn’t bloody announce they were married, only engaged. That this was his fault because he’d claimed Belladonna as his wife, when he shouldn’t have.

When, as far as she was concerned, he should never have announced that to the human world, left as his girlfriend only, all those years, because she should have been nothing to him, she was not being his

Goddess Gifted Mate.

That he should never have even been seen with her, because Belladonna was nothing to him. That he wasn’t supporting her, Carina, out in the human world. That he was still trying to cover his own ass instead of stating simply “Hove Carina, and we’re married. That’s all there is to it.”

She believed that a statement like that would fix everything. But she didn’t understand what she had done. was detrimental to his human world businesses or didn’t bloody care he thought. She only cared when those cameras and reporters had turned on her and taken to her. If she had truly cared, she wouldn’t have tossed that original photo of them out there for this shit storm to start.

He’d left her in the Luna suite, to calm down and come to her senses, after telling her none of this would have happened if she’d not sent that picture to the human world in the first place, if she’d been patient, they’d have been seen together out in public and seen to be dating and then engaged and married within the year. No different to what he had done with Belladonna, to be exact.

Her father was also unhappy about the backlash his daughter was copping and had now turned up there inside the pack demanding that Parker protect her.

Parker had stared at that Beta from his place behind his Alpha’s desk and stated “I told you this would happen. That this was why it was best to wait for a full year before I announced her to the world as my wife, be seen in six months as dating and then six months after that married. She did this to herself.”
