She stood looking at Selena as she appeared before her in the forest. It was a full moon and the only night of the month she could never hide from the woman. The best time for that was under a new moon. She was blind on those days, unable to see her children or disciples. It ticked her off to no end some days; that one little wolf that couldn’t ever be seen by her

Even Freya couldn’t find the poor lost creature, and she had tried, she was a lost, lonely soul, and sometimes her pain could be felt, but there was no comforting or consoling one that couldn’t be found. Lost to their kind, forsaken and banished from their own world by one stupid Alpha.

Though she also had no priestesses anymore, they’d all left the temple, the wolfen realm was a much better place than it had been when created. They were no longer needed for the most part. A few unruly wolves remained, but that was not something that was going to change; free will was the problem.

There were some cruel, nasty people in all realms, it just couldn’t be helped. She turned to walk away from the woman now walking towards her. Selena wanted company now that she had no one to talk to in her temple. Well, not ones she wanted to anyway. Freya knew Selena wanted her to come reside there once

more, like she had a long time ago when they’d gotten along.

“You need to stop this; I understand your unhappiness.” Selena sighed.

Freya snorted at her in derision, she didn’t really care for those words, she wasn’t the only unhappy wolf in their world, so very many of them were unhappy, used and abused. Selena herself was rarely happy either.

“Don’t you speak to me like that, I will punish you.” Selena stated.

A low growl admitted from Freya ‘I’ll bite you right back. She shot into Selena’s mind, and turned to walk away from her. Not many could mind–link to the moon goddess herself, but Freya held no fear of this woman. She couldn’t really harm her, not when she actually needed her.

She appeared right before Freya and knelt down and looked right into her eyes. “I can see your work is coming to an end.” Selena ignored the comment about being bitten, it wouldn’t be the first time she’d gotten bitten by Freya, and it would likely happen again many times.

As much as they loved each other, they were at odds most of the time, couldn’t see eye to eye anymore, a rift had been torn between them, and it would stay that way until Freya’s mate was reborn and returned to

her.

“When the time comes, Freya, I will come and retrieve you. You have to let this human go when your work is done. She does not belong to you.”

“Is mine,” Freya stated.

“No she is not. You took her over and bound her wolf, her life will never be her own until you release her.”

“Hmm, you think that, but I see more than you, Freya, I know your Destiny, and you need to live it. Stop hiding from it behind this poor girl. Like you did her mother, what if someone sees you like they did with her mother. Free will I can’t contain, she’ll be harmed because of you. Do you really want that?”

Freya snapped her teeth right at Selena and barely missed her target, then had two hands snapped around her snout and Selena held it closed, smiled right at her. “You’re powerless against me when I touch you Freya,” she chuckled softly and ran a hand over her head “Don’t you miss the temple, it’s your home after

all.”

She really was annoyed by the power this woman had over her at times. “If my mate was there i would.”
