Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 46

Bella

She returned to the hospital after seeing both Whit and Alexi to their classes. She ran a hand through Alexi’s hair, smiled down at her. “It will be alright, I’ll come and collect you after school as well.” she hugged her a little and saw her into her class room.

She told Whit to behave himself in a stern tone and looked at her Luna. “Sorry,” she stated as they walked away from the school “Got his father’s temper, I see.”

“Hmm, likely just an Alpha’s temper, he didn’t start it. Did what all Alphas should, protect the weaker. I don’t particularly approve of the way it was done, but I understand why.” Mala sighed “Whit sees those orphans as his siblings,”

“Yes, he likes having them in the house.” she nodded “I’ll sit him down and speak to him privately this evening, and make sure he turns up for his punishment that Aston dished out.”

“Alright.” Mala nodded.

She smiled at Milly when she was walked into her office by Cody, who’d kindly offered to sit with her, while Bella had to go and deal with Whit. Her arms reached out right away, and Bella picked her up, and cuddled her. “Everything alright?” she asked Cody.

“Yes, a little therapy was had and separation is good for her. She stopped crying after about five minutes, so we’re making progress.” Cody told her.

“That’s good.” Bella nodded.

“It might actually help if you bleed her to you. She’s very attached to you, you’re her mother, as far as she’s concerned.”

“I am going to, I was just waiting to ask Aston and Mala about it, until you told me it was the right time.” she smiled at Milly, it would be good to grow her family this way, seeing as Freya was certain she had no mate, didn’t even claim to Whit as her own pup, that was the oddest thing.

That conversation with Aston and Mala saw both of them smile at her and nod. She had discussed everything with Whit already, gotten his opinion, he thought she should be the mum to all of them in that orphanage. She’d told him that defeated the purpose of the actual orphanage, and he’d pouted up at her ” But they’re our family now.”

The two boys, Martin and Owen, six and seven years old, understood what it meant to be an orphan and bled to someone there inside the pack. They didn’t want that, and were hoping their parents could be found. The four girls, Clair and Lacey, who had both just turned four, didn’t really understand what it all meant. Looked up at her questioningly and she smiled at them “It’s up to you. I’m also still happy to raise you as we now are, while your parents are hunted for, and hopefully one day brought here to be reunited with you. Like Martin and Owen, live with me until that day happens.”

Alexi, who was five, she knew actually had eyes on a woman in the pack, was looking for a mother, in her school teacher. Bella also knew that Penelope, her school teacher, was interested in this too. That conversation had already been had, and Penelope and Alexi were spending this weekend together and a decision would likely come from that next week and Milly was bled to her by the end of the conversation.

It took all of three days after being bled to Bella, for Milly to say her first word ‘Mummy‘ and to start coming out of her shell properly. She played with Whit right there next to her, and stopped crying when Bella left the room. Whit was happy, smiled down at Milly, now his real sister, loved having that family bond to her, always used the words ‘little sis.‘ ‘Sissy‘ or ‘my sister‘ when talking to her or about her.

A month later, and Milly was running around happy and settled like the other children, and going to the pack’s crèche, she didn’t cry when she was handed over to Bella, Ben’s Mate. Her separation anxiety ebbed away with every day that passed since being bled to Belladonna.

She was bonded to Whit properly and tugged at his arm or leg and followed him around at home like any younger sibling would with their older brother. It was very cute.

She heard that Aston was off to the Lustrous Moon for a mating ball and that she might just see some of her old pack members come to this pack. Bella nodded at Mala, it didn’t particularly bother her, but she did have a request.

For those that came here not to approach her or Whit with questions about Whit, where Parker was concerned. To have Aston tell them, Parker knew about the boy and had released his parental rights to her. That she didn’t think it was appropriate to have them talk about it openly.

She didn’t want Whit hearing new pack members talking about him, not even in hushed tones. He’d never met Parker, never even asked about his dad, another reason she believed that the kin bond had been severed. Especially since Parker had been here and not felt it at all, not asked about their child.

Mala nodded and stated “I understand, it’s not like Parker asked after him either. He wasn’t even the slightest bit curious. Only wanted to know how you were.”

“I’m aware.” Bella nodded.

“Aston and I both found that very odd. That he would be happy to see you, want to know how you were doing, yet not be the slightest bit interested in the child the two of you had.”
