Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 67

Parker

He heard her stiletto’s clicking on the tiled floor of the packhouse, coming from the elevator. She was angry, he could tell just by the way she walked, or stomped her way to his office. He was damned sure that threat was the only thing bringing her to him right this minute.

She didn’t understand what she’d done, had been inside this pack for months unable to go out shopping and spend money, her pack card still had that limit, and she was on nothing but what she could earn for herself, which was nothing because she’d had no offers in months.

No one wanted to use her for a model because she was too much of an entitled bitch and couldn’t work with anyone. He’d not even once offered her anything from Lustre Inc. in over a year, he wouldn’t even use his own Mate as a model because of those very same reasons. Her contract with them had expired and

he’d not renewed it.

He looked right at her as she stomped into his office and stopped in the middle of the room. Folded her arms and glared at him, and anger rolled off him at her words “Like you would reject me, your Goddess–Gifted. Selena would punish you for rejecting what she gave you.”

“Really.” He grated out “I don’t think she will punish me, not after what you’ve done.” He could feel his anger rolling off him, off of Vex himself and allowed it to be felt down their bond, the utter fury that was within him and his beast aimed right at her.

She blinked at feeling it, and he watched as her demeanour actually faulted, and that anger of hers turned to real confusion. She’d seen him angry many times, but what she was getting was utter fury, and because it was also his beast, Ruby, her wolf was starting to feel anxious about being before him.

“What did I do?” she asked, trying to pull herself back to that Stoic ‘I don’t care or fear you‘, attitude she had all the time. But couldn’t quite pull it off at the same time. Though he felt her shut her end of their bond off, and he knew why, because she knew she was in real trouble and was trying to think about it what she’d done to him, on the sly, that he’d likely found out about.

“What haven’t you done in the past nine years?” he snapped at her as he picked up one of the copies of the files Alpha Gretta had given to him, off his desk. Axel had copied it while he’d been initiating his new wolves and put them on his desk for him for when he was ready to deal with Carina.

He’d also seen that man scan them and attach them to a file in the pack’s database. Shannon hadn’t even come to his office. He was off to the tech department to try and see if there was any other evidence of Carina committing crimes against the pack. Everything she now did had to be looked at from a traitorous

perspective

This one crime was so far back that he had no idea if the tech department could even find any proof of it, of her dealings who’d she’d had help her. He didn’t think she was smart enough to come up with this plan

on her own, let alone word those emails from him to Gretta and actually sound like him.

No, there had to be someone else involved, she’d not have been able to stay calm about it, had insulted Belladonna and his child in that very first response, so he didn’t think she could have held her tongue and been logical about any of it. There was another helping her.

He watched as she walked over to him, and reached out a hand to touch him. She was going to try and use their bond to calm him, it seemed. He saw her smile up at him “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to raise my voice at you, I’m just cranky you’ve not spent any time with me lately, I’ve missed you Parker.” She smiled at him. “It’s been a while, would you like to,” she chuckled softly “go and have…”

“No, I would not.” He stated and removed her arm from him. “Not ever again.” He grated out and saw her blink, and then she took a step back from him.

He watched her turn and look at the office door. It was still open. “Perhaps if we’re going to fight the door should be closed.” She murmured and headed for it.

“Why? You enjoy putting on a show for the pack about how unhappy you are, that I’m mean and cruel… Vindictive even. Don’t you want them to hear me say that to you?” His eyes moved to Kane, who’d stepped to the door and was now, baring her exit, she wasn’t going to close the door. She was going to try and leave, and he knew it.

She understood his words. He’d stated he’d reject her, and now he didn’t ever want to have sex again with her. It was the same thing. “Move.” She grated out at Kane.

Kane raised an eyebrow at her. “No. I’m under Parker’s orders not to let you leave. I also outrank you,

Carina.” Kane smiled at her.

“I’m the Luna, and you’re just a Beta. She grated out,

“Really…” Kane looked at him “Parker does this… She–wolf out rank me?”

“No.” Parker stated, “No one inside this pack has to answer to her.” He stated and saw her turn her head

and stare at him.

“I’m your Mate and Luna.” She gasped out.

“A deceitful one at that. I wonder Carina, how the pack will feel about knowing…” he walked towards her, grabbed her by the arm and yanked her around to face him, “That you dared to deny me the rights to my son with Belladonna.” He snarled out, for all in the packhouse to hear.

“Wh… What are you talking about.” She stuttered, but her hand was already trying to remove his. “You’re hurting me, Parker. She cried out.

“Oh, this is nothing compared to what you’re going to get. I have a son, he is nine and you, you horrid, vile, cruel woman” he grated out, “Knew and stopped me from knowing about it.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, and a son. I know nothing about you having a son, let me go.” She was really pulling at his arm now.

She turned and ran, and he shot after her and dragged her down, held her down on the floor before all
