It had been just over two weeks since Parker had been inside the Hollowed Moon, and she’d received an sss from Alpha Gretta which included Alpha Aston as well. A formal letter to inform her and her Alpha of the outcome of Alpha Parker Hartly’s investigation within his own pack.
Then the Wolfen Council’s own investigations into the former Luna of Lustrous Moon; Carina Lewis. Of those that had helped her in her deception of her Mate and Alpha; who she’d pledged loyalty to, but had never been loyal to at all. Carina Lewis had kept from Alpha Parker the knowledge of him having a child with his previous, but rejected Luna of Lustrous Moon, Belladonna Harrington.
It was seen that Carina, with the help of her father, one Beta Gregory Lewis, had told his daughter what to do and how to do it. He’d had dealings and conversations with Parker and had also checked emails in secret between Parker and his own Alpha to see how Parker worded things.
It had been Gregory Lewis that had mocked up and sent the responses to his daughter for her to retype from Parkers‘ own emails so it would look like they were from Alpha Parker Hartly.
He’d told her that before responding at all she needed to get him to leave the pack and have him fully distracted. To do this, she had to have his human world reputation or business take a massive hit, to create something that would see him and his business come under bad press and drop shares in the stock market, so that it would need his undivided attention.
That Carina was now in a wolfen prison on Council grounds, and they were hunting for her father. He had vanished from his home pack with what the Wolfen Council believed was an attempt to avoid punishment by the Wolfen Council for helping to deceive them.
She shook her head and sighed as she sat at her desk in the study of the orphanage, and not because Gregory Lewis hadn’t been caught, but because both Whit and Parker had been screwed over and out of their father/son bond. And she didn’t know what to do about that at all.
Though her thoughts were interrupted by Alpha Aston requesting she come to his office, she made her way there. Mirror was still here, she simply excused herself to go and see the Alpha. Knocked on Aston’s open door and was waved in when she got there.
He smiled at her, though only briefly, and asked her to have a seat. She sat next to Simon on the couch at his direction and Aston came and sat across from her. “You’ve read that sss by now, yes?”
“Mm, I have.” Bella nodded.
“So have f… I think Parker will be here in short order to try and sort things out, between you and him. Meet
Whit as well,” Aston stated, getting right to the point.
“It is likely.” She could only agree with his thoughts on the matter. “I’m not going to deny him his rights if that is what you’re concerned about Aston.”
Claim
“It’s not,” Aston shook his head. “I’ve got something else more pressing, I also know you would never do
that on purpose.” He smiled at her. “I’ve just sent Alpha Gretta a separate sss and taken a call from her.
She is now, I believe, on her way here. To deal with another pressing matter.”
“Okay. Does it involve me?” she asked, seeing as she’d been called to his office.
“Yes, indirectly so, it’s more that it involves Whitney’s current circumstances.”
That made her frown. “What do you mean exactly?”
“Gregory Lewis, is inside this very pack.” Aston sighed and shook his head, “Mala and Ben are off to bring him in now. Mala was ticked off just a little.”
“A little.” Simon snorted.
Aston smiled. “I’ve seen more anger and rage,” he shrugged. “Greg told us his home pack, Alpha’s son had taken over and was a tyrant, and so he left not wanting to be a part of it… we don’t judge, accept all, but now we know that is not the truth. He fled that pack in order to escape the wolfen council punishment he
knew was coming.”
Bella sighed: “He has no idea who I am or who Whit is either, does he? I’ve never met him.”
“No, he also lives on the other side of the pack, and has only been here for the past five days.” Aston stated, “I’d like you to meet the man that ruined things for everyone involved in this mess.”
“My life wasn’t ruined, Aston. I got my freedom, and I was able to raise Whitney as I saw fit. I quite like my life to be honest,” she told him simply.
“I’m happy to hear that. But I know you quite well, Bell, if Parker had been informed properly and wanted to be a part of Whit’s life, you would have allowed this. You’re not mean or cruel by nature.”
“Mm,” she nodded. “I would have, though I would have fought for my rights to raise him away from that pack and his new Luna.”
“I also think Alpha Gretta would have seen that happen,” Aston nodded. “Circumstances change though, and things out of one’s control can happen.”
“That they do.” she nodded.
