Parker
He spent five days inside the Hollowed Moon, after that meet and greet. Alpha Gretta seemed happy with his words and actions, and left the day after they’d arrived, had taken Gregory Lewis with her. He’d not touched him, but the man had bruising to his face. Kane had taken to him; one Beta to another.
He’d introduced Kane to Whitney, and they all had dinner along with Belladonna and Milly, every night. Once at the orphanage with all the other children as well, they were curious about him, so he offered to meet them.
He wanted to ask Belladonna a million questions about her little girl, but hadn’t done so in front of Milly. She was only three and a half, though not once in the time he was there, was there à mention of her father, and he got the feeling there wasn’t one.
He’d also seen Whitney watch all the interactions between not only himself and his mother, but Kane and his mother as well when they were all together. He could see she was at ease with talking to Kane about almost anything at all. It was a little more stilted between him and her, but he made every effort to talk to her. Ask about her day, what she did with her time off, even.
He didn’t interrupt Belladonna’s working day anymore than he did Whitney’s school day. He was also not interrupting her conversations with Kane, or Mina, who sat down with them sometimes, which let Whit know she was Kane’s sister. He was allowing Whitney to see his mother had been well–liked and not had a
terrible time inside the Lustrous Moon.
She also asked about Annette and how the hospital was running, and he was honest with her, when she
asked about deaths. Which made her sigh a little on the heavy side, but it was rare that packs had
non–existent deaths, like when she’d been his Luna and pack doctor.
He asked her about how it was going here, only to find out that his thoughts had been right. She’d not lost
a single pup or she–wolf since coming here; none at the Alpha College either. Likely it was that she and her
wolf were blessed by Selena.

There was something different about them and that was why Freya never showed herself, though he was
curious about Aston having seen her. Seeing the woman that could call Freya out, he could only put it
down to Freya trusting in Aston completely.
He was out walking late at night just thinking when he saw Belladonna coming out of the hospital and smiled to himself. She was still working long hours. She saw him, and he smiled at her, strolled in her direction. “Do you mind if I walk you back to your home?” he asked her.
“No.” she shook her head. “You’re still leaving tomorrow?” she asked him.
“Mm, I am. I can’t be away from the pack for long periods of time,” he nodded. “It’s large and needs a lot of my attention all the time. My days were, are” he smiled a little. “As busy as yours were inside the pack. Do you recall the amount of times you must have seen me in my office late at night?”
“Yes, always in your office, or training, in the city or one of the other packs,” she nodded.
Very long days, often 12 to 14–hour working days.” He nodded. “As busy as you were, may I ask you something Belladonna?
“Yes,” she answered.
“Why did you never once leave the pack hear you and Whit like white water rafting and go camping outside the pack often here.” He was curious about that.
She raised an eyebrow at him as if to say ‘Why don’t you know that?‘ but then answered his question when he stared right back at her waiting for her answer. “You never told me I could leave the pack.”
“Wait!” he stopped walking and put a hand on her arm to halt her. “What do you mean by that?” he frowned at her now.
“Exactly that. I worked every day and never left the pack because I had to be there.”
He was frowning deeply at her. “I never told you that you couldn’t leave the pack to go hang out with your friends or do any shopping. I also never told you that you had to work every single day.”
“Sold to you, remember.” She stated with a shrug. “You also never once told me to have a day off or that I could leave the pack to do those things.”
He was staring at her near dumbfounded by her response. As he came to the realisation of just what had gone on when they were together, “I’m sorry, I didn’t realise that was how you looked at it…” he sighed heavily. “I was busy all the time and just presumed you took days off, like everyone else when you needed it. I also never meant for you to feel like you weren’t allowed to leave the pack.”
“It is what it is, Parker.” She shrugged. “It was also a long time ago.”
“Is that why you never asked for a car, because you didn’t see a point in having one, if you couldn’t leave the pack?”
“Yes.” She nodded.
“Belladonna, you were the Luna, you had all the rights as the Luna, held the real title. I never once put any restrictions upon you, saw you as my actual Luna. You were also very good at it.” She was just looking at him now and once again shrugged at him, “I’m sorry Belladonna,” and he really meant it. Clearly, they both had different thoughts about her being there inside his pack as the Luna.
“I was so busy running the pack, and its business’s that I obviously clearly neglected you in more ways than one, I now see,” he murmured, unhappy with himself. No wonder she wanted to leave and was happy
“I was there only because of the mating alliance, and nothing more. I knew that,” she stated simply

“Mm, he wasn’t a nice man, Belladonna. Stole many wolves and mated them into his pack, to try and grow it. I was there to retrieve them and used the threat of war to do so.” Seems she didn’t know her own father at all.
