I felt Creed’s heated gaze as he watched me take a few steps away from him so he could enjoy the view. His eyes were drinking me in as I slowly took the golden pin off my head, making my hair fall on my shoulders. He growled impatiently as I ran my hands down my hips seductively.
A wicked smile curved my lips. I was away for half an hour or so and yet, the way Creed looked at me a while about the emergency felt like I was gone for days.
“Elianna,” he groaned.
ago and spoke
I suppressed my giggles as I reached out to unzip my long gown. Too late though. His patience already snapped. In a blink of an eye, Creed was right behind me, sucking me at the crook of my neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist as if the small gap I put between us physically pained him.
I tipped my head back to give him better access. His big hands moved up and squeezed my breasts, making me moan. The places he touched felt so good.
“I can’t wait anymore, Eli. This is my favorite dress of yours. I don’t want to ruin this. Lift it up.”
As soon as I gathered my gown around my waist, his hand cupped the damp lace between my legs and massaged that delicate bundle of nerves that made me squirm. He buried his face in my neck and growled in approval as he ripped the lace. I heard him unzip his pants before he lined up and sank inside me in one swift thrust, filling me up completely as if he was punishing me for teasing him.
The stretch made me gasp.
“Don’t bite your lip, love. Go on. Scream.”
I shook my head, unable to form the words. I’d always been a screamer in bed. But I couldn’t do it tonight. I would hate to traumatize our guests outside who all possessed terrific ears, especially our son. I could weave mana to block the noise, but I couldn’t even lift a finger right now without shaking. Even if I could, with him inside me, I’d forgotten how.
He withdrew and then drove back in, hitting all the right places. My eyes fell shut.
Creed pinched my nipples and I almost came. “Don’t worry, love I had every corner of this castle soundproofed. I would never let anyone apart from me hear how my wife moans and screams for me.”
The possessiveness in his voice set me on edge. If his arm was not supporting me around my waist, my knees would have given out. Creed buried himself deeper in me with every hard thrust, his hand was wrapped around my breasts as if he didn’t want any distance between us. I let out a strangled cry. The world between us seemed to narrow as my body unraveled.
My voice broke into ragged moans, “Creed!”
We’d done this so many times before, each experience was brand-new although tonight felt the most different. Maybe it was because we were doing this as husband and wife, I felt him shuder as he spilled inside me. It felt so fast, so powerful, and so good that tears flooded my eyes by the intensity. He turned me round and wiped my tears away,
Creed lifted me, “Are you okay, love?”
I beamed at him. In a hoarse voice, I replied, “I feel perfect.”
His eyes glinted deviously. He kissed me hard; his tongue wrapped against mine. Grinning, he whispered, “Good. Because the real thing is just about to start, Mrs. Black.”
Six months later…

Chapter 132
(Creed)
“Oh, were you abandoned as well, General? Welcome to the club

That was Leo who already looked miserably drunk as he immediately stood and welcomed me with a salute. I had retired a long time ago and he still called me the same way. We were in the club which he set up only for a certain people with mated men and women as servers. To my surprise, Aramides and Terrence were already sitting at the table and nursing a drink even if it was only two in the afternoon.
Then again, it was Sunday,
A rest day.
That’s why I was not supposed to be here with all these losers. I was not abandoned. My wife just happened to forget that it was a rest day today and was still occupied with her endless conferences. Upon hearing that my son was with Jack, Leo invited me out and personally served me the wine when I took the seat beside Terrence.
For someone who got his silly wish and had dated my sister at long last, he looked a little depressed. He was frowning and so was Aramides while staring at the poor velvet box in his hand which had been in his pocket for a year now.
I knew because he dragged me and his son in the shop when he bought that to ask for our opposing opinions and that was whether he should get a round or oval-shaped diamond for Eloise. Terrence suggested the round; I voted for oval. In the end, Aramides got the pear-shaped ring which made both of us want to strangle the hell out of him for a second.
I rose. “On second thought, I don’t think I should be here at all. I don’t belong here.”
Because unlike them, I was not fucking depressed.
I did not even know the word until I saw these men gathering in here like some miserable alphas. So, what if Elianna was either late or had forgotten our dates for the past three months? If she did remember, she was either too late or too exhausted to have fun. When she came home, after playing with Zane for a bit, she would drift to sleep. I’d carry her back to bed, she would stir, tempt me with her sinful kisses, and then done off after getting me hard as a goddamn rock. So, what if I had to take cold showers in the middle of the fucking night?
The new dragon queen would often wake me up with the same kisses that haunted me the night before only to take off because she had a meeting to attend just when I was about to pull her to me. The last time I was inside her was two weeks ago and even that was in a rush just like all of our recent conversations.
So, no, I was not miserable.
I was beyond that.
But I was a supportive husband and so I was trying to understan. My wife was doing her best for the realm after all even if most days, it felt like the realm was taking her away from me. Mrival was not even a person. It was her schedule that I liked to burn from time to time.
Fuck. I was deprived of a proper kiss these days.
“No, sit, General, please,” Leo said as Anson walked in, scowling. You’re just on time, my lord. We are about to vote for the vice president of our club,”
“Club?” the dragon asked, his brows furrowed. “What club?”
“Abandoned Alphas Club,” Aram answered with a sigh.
“He’s the president,” Leo supplied. “Would any of you want to be the vice? I’m volunteering only as the secretary.”
“I’m not abandoned,” Anson gritted his teeth. “I’m only here because someone’s wife summoned my woman again. On a
freaking Sunday. Aurelia and I were supposed to pick a castle together today.”

“I could relate. This is the second time now,” Terrence said, glaring at me.
“Silver is there with them too.” Leo scratched his nape. “Shanty and Carmie as well.”

“Couldn’t you lock your workaholic wife for a day?” Aram snarle. “What the heck are you doing back home? I was about to propose today but then the Queen summoned her mother and was forgotten in an instant. I mean I love Eli. She is my favorite niece. She is dedicated, smart, and witty. And she is going to be my real daughter if her mother decides to have me for good, but must she do this on a weekend? This is simply extortion!”
I raised a brow. “Did I complain when you sent me to nonstop missions for decades? Back then, my only break was fucking breathing.”
