Claimed By My Husband's Enemy novel Chapter 45

Chapter 45

Chapter 45

(Creed)

Fifteen minutes after ten in the evening and I was seconds away from summoning my pack. Vicious had four elite guards with her whom I trained myself. I had lost contact with all of them for the past four hours I could not even call her She blocked me, something that was still making Dale cackle as he waited beside me since the sunset.

Our dinner had gone cold. I was standing beside the front door the whole time, unable to breathe properly until I knew that Vicious was safe and sound.

Get a mate, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.

Then again, there were more than fun moments. When Vicious was in my arms. When I was kissing her. When she was under me and letting me taste her all over. When she was coming in my mouth. In my fingers. In my cock. When her body was pressed against mine and she was calling my name like a prayer. When I felt the tremor that ran through her body as she climaxed and clung onto my shoulders. Those were the good times.

The best times were waking up and seeing her next to me. Hearing her hum when she was happy. Watching her smile at the sight of desserts on the table. Seeing her face brightened as she counted her gold bars.

Thanks to the crown prince, I lost all that in an instant.

Vicious and Terrence may have the same surname now, but it did not mean he was a safe man for her to be around with. After all, they were not related by blood. Terrence was the queen’s son from another man. He was in his teens when his mother met His Majesty and adopted him.

I would only restart treating him as a friend once he stopped acting like a pain in the ass.

The prince overstepped. He was not supposed to be the one delivering news as sensitive as that to Vicious. I knew she would think the worst of the situation. Even now, she was certainly stressed out thinking that Richards had her mother. I was not ruling out that possibility although there was another possibility I was leaning onto based on the way Lauren Dawson disappeared.

If Richards was the culprit, he would leave evidence for Vicious to trace. He would show it to antagonize not only her but me as well knowing that he was able to get through my security. He was too proud to hide what he did.

I could not tell her all that without proof. Heck, I could not even tell her about the powers she possessed. Vicious would need to feel it within her, to witness the changes in herself otherwise, she would only laugh at me without knowing that she was behind the glass breaking and the quake that happened recently.

Vicious grew up believing with all her heart that she was a human and a cursed one at that. Lauren hid their identity completely to her for reasons still unknown to me. Who was she and what was she running away from?

“Who would have thought that Elianna is one of us? And a princess at that? Maybe that’s the reason why she doesn’t get scared easily,” Dale murmured out of the blue.

Oh, Vicious was scared. All the time. In fact, her heartbeat sped up too easily. He didn’t know. He didn’t observe her the way I did. The more she talked, the more fear she felt inside. She was just skilled at manipulating everyone’s attention to focus on her words and her expression instead of her heartbeat. She tended to do that without being aware of it.

“Now that I thought about it, Prince Rio, His Majesty, and Elianna all have the same eye color,” Dale added. “What are you going to do now that the King plans to take her?”

I shrugged. “His Majesty could try. I will be on the sidelines and watch him fail”

Vicious could hardly tolerate my pack, what more hundreds of soldiers in the city? Especially in the castle? The possibility of her willingly coming with the King was very unlikely. She would be severely guarded there. She already felt trapped enough,

here that’s why I let her travel. She was only beginning to live freely after years of being restrained I didn’t want to clip her wings

But it did not mean that I would simply let this incident pass.

“Do you think Elianna could shift?”

“I don’t know, Dale,” I grunted as I glanced at my wristwatch. This was the second time Vicious made me wait. After tonight, I would see to it that there won’t be a third time. “All I know is that I am done waiting. Contact everyone. We are going hunting.”

Vicious was yet to meet the entirety of my pack. I did not want to overwhelm her as much as possible. He was on his phone while I fetched Vicious’ jacket. We would meet the pack on the road. I was about to slide in the car when I heard them.

At fucking last.

Vicious arrived first in her brand-new sports car. The guard beside her quickly unbuckled himself and rolled from the car and threw up. The guards in the car behind them did not even open the door after parking. When Dale forced the door open and pulled them out, they all blanched and collapsed on the ground while holding their stomachs.

My eyes narrowed at the chaos. The men looked traumatized while the culprit looked like she had the best time of her life.

“What the hell happened?” I asked.

She raised her chin and rolled her eyes like a brat. “Don’t look at me that way, Black. It’s not my fault they couldn’t keep up.

And then she strolled inside without turning back while the guards complained about their ears bleeding from her extremely loudspeaker of some songs from Swift or whoever she was. Wolves’ ears were very sensitive, and she targeted that first. Their next complaint was all the food they ate during the drive which they claimed she cheerfully called ‘food trip. They also pointed their colored eyelids, cheeks, and mouths. The worst part was the ridiculous highlights in their hair which she all urged them to do when they went to the beauty salon.

Vicious and the guards were not aware of her status in the realm, but somehow, she was able to use her skills to make the men do her bidding. It worked. It must be because she was in the right realm this time. She was able to use her voice command smoothly or maybe she acted and showed them her tears and they could not tolerate it.

I understood the sentiment. That’s why I would rather see her burn money than see her cry. I was impressed and apologetic at my pack mates at the same time while Dale fought back his laugh.

“Miss Elianna is so tiny. Where is she taking all the food she eats?” Felix grumbled. “Where is she getting all that energy?”

“She may not be a beast, but I’m telling you, alpha, your mate is a tyrant!” another guard rumbled, wincing.

“She is a menace,” I answered with a sigh.

“A menace you can’t live without,” Dale supplied with a grin and I could not even argue.

“Get the healer,” I told him instead. “Or maybe a stylist to salvage their hair and pride before they go home.”

I followed Vicious inside and caught her about to close her door. I stopped her by the arm and took my time staring at her. I only got to do this and be this close to her the past days when she was sleeping. I’d spent the past nights wiping her tears, hearing her cuss me out during her sleep, and getting an hour or two of sleep so I would be out of her sight before she woke

So, this was what yearning was like.

It was an odd feeling. A strike to the soul.

My forehead creased when I felt her temperature rise. Before I could touch her more, she pushed my hand away. Her skin

was flushed. Her body was hot. Her scent was thick. She was showing signs of a heat spike.

“You can’t come in. Black. I have a date tonight,” she said in a rush.

I leaned on her doorway and and gripped the doorframe to keep myself from lunging forward. “With who?”

She raised the pink paper bag she brought and showed me the box containing an indigo-colored dildo.

“With Mr. Indigo. And you are not invited.”

She was about to slam the door close when I grabbed it. “Vicious…”

“What?” she snarled.

I looked deep in her eyes and laid down my pride. “I miss you.”
