Claimed By The Mafia Don (Ariella and Asher) novel Chapter 378

ARIELLA

When Asher walked out, I must have fallen asleep from the exhaustion, because when I felt his arms on my shoulders, telling me he was here to feed me, I thought he was joking about the feeding part.

But then, it turns out....He wasn’t. Because as soon as I sat up on the bed, he held the spoon in front of my face, waiting. And I had no choice but to let him feed me.

He watched me as I ate, still half-dazed, while he continued talking, his voice light and his expression warm, a small smile sitting on his lips as if he genuinely enjoyed feeding me in this way. He liked taking care of me. And for some reason… that did something to me too.

When I was done, he reached for a napkin, carefully wiping the corners of my mouth like it was the most natural thing in the world. Then he set everything aside and looked at me.

“There,” he said. “Done.”

I smiled faintly.

“You told me to feed you, and that’s exactly what you get. You ask me for something, and I make sure you have it.”

Something in my chest softened. I felt… taken care of. Loved. Fulfilled in a quiet way I hadn’t expected.

“Well,” I said after a moment, “what’s happened to Leon? Where is he? Has he had breakfast? Did he begin his classes?”

He sighed lightly, though there was amusement in his eyes.

“You think about Leon too much.”

I laughed. “Being his mother is a full-time job.”

“I know,” he said, smiling. “I’m just kidding. But don’t worry, we had breakfast, and Sia is with him in the study right now.”

He leaned back slightly.

“I went to check on them. They’re just talking. She told me, she wants to understand where he is in his schoolwork, his progress, before she begins anything.”

“Ah… okay.”

“So don’t worry,” he added. “You’re not missing out on anything.”

I couldn’t help but laugh at that.

“Okay.”

He stood up then, adjusting his sleeves slightly.

“I’m going downstairs. I brought you some fruits too, so whenever you’re feeling up to it…”

He glanced at me, softer now.

“I’ll just be downstairs. Feel free to come check on me anytime.”

“I will,” I said quietly.

He leaned down, pressing another kiss to my lips, gentler this time And then he left.

I took another nap before I woke up again later, at about eleven. For a moment, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, letting my body catch up with me.

Then I got dressed and went downstairs. And of course, I immediately started heading towards Asher’s office hallway, because that’s where Leon’s study was.

As I got closer, I heard their voices. Leon’s And Sia’s. They were laughing at something. Which I guess it was good that Leon was having so much fun… But I thought she was here to teach. Still... I kept walking.

The door to Leon's study was open, and as I stepped closer, Sia immediately saw me. She smiled politely and I smiled back. And then her attention went right back to Leon.
