53. DAISY

“I’m not sure how I feel about this. You spend most of the time taking care of them and now you carry both their marks. It should have been fare if I got to mark you first.”

I swallowed as Val slowly stalked closer.

“I think I might need to hurt myself too.‘

“Don’t talk like that Val!” I frowned at him. “You don’t have to do anything to get my attention.”

He raised an eyebrow. “I don’t?”

“You have my attention now.”

“Yeah, but for how long?”

“However long you want it.”

Valiant smiled but it slipped the moment Elias appeared. Muttering under his breath he turned and then fell back onto the bed I had been busy making.

I glared at him, but he ignored me.

“Your mother called,” Elias said softly. “She wants you to return home immediately.”

I blinked at him. “I’m sorry, I think I misunderstood. My mother who has been ignoring me for most my life, wants me to return home?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

Elias shrugged. His eyes darted to Val for a few seconds before the locked on me again. I blushed under his heated gaze but didn’t shy away from it. After what happened last night, I don’t think anything could embarrass

me anymore.

“Just say the word, baby girl and I’ll take care of your mother,” Alex muttered as he appeared in the doorway.

I hesitated.

“The bank took back the house,” Alex said softly. “John hasn’t made payments on it in a few months and all the accounts has been frozen until everything is sorted.”

“So she probably wants money from me.”

“Val, how long will it take you to draw up a contract for me?” Alex asked.

“It depends on what you want.” Val sat up. “Probably an hour or two.”

“Let’s talk in my office.”

Alex walked off before he could reply. Letting out a sign, Val stood and then headed for the door but halfway there he changed direction and walked over to me.

“You and me, petal. Tonight,” he growled. “Got it?”

I nodded.

Gripping my chin, he captured my lips in a rough kiss before he left.

I sighed.

“Do you want help with something?” Elias asked softly.

I thought about it for a few seconds. “Do we have any strawberries and chocolate to melt?”

His lips twitched. “No, but I can send Stevens to pick some up for us.”

I nodded.

“Anything else?”

“Some cream please.”

“Got it.” With a wink and a smile playing around his lips, Elias left.

A sigh fell from my lips as I turned around to fix the bed. I felt bad knowing that Val felt so left out. I was just so focused on making sure that Alex and Elias got better, that I didn’t even stop to consider what he was feeling.

I was planning on making him feel special tonight.

The smile slipped from my face when I entered the living room and saw them all staring at the TV. A video was playing–the same one they showed of Alex carrying me into a building. It was followed up by another video, one of my mother and Isabella standing in front of the house, talking to reporters.

“These…these…men kidnapped my daughter!” Mother was saying. “Now they’re holding her hostage and refuse for me to see her. I’m hoping the where ever she is, she’s seeing this and will make contact with me soon. Please honey, I miss you.”

“Bitch,” Val snarled.

“Not even five minutes after she fucking called me,” Alex hissed.

“What is she hoping to achieve?” Elias frowned at the TV as he shifted from foot to foot.

“Money,” I muttered, startling all of them.

“Daisy.” Alex moved towards me as Val switched off the TV.

“You said that she lost the house and that the bank froze all the accounts,” I said. “She’s broke. Money is the only thing she’s interested in these days.”

“Do you think it’s why she wants to see you?” Elias asked.

I shrugged.

That woman on the TV was someone I didn’t know. Ever since mother married John she had changed. Money was the only thing she cared about and now that her money was cut off, she suddenly remembered she had a

daughter that she forced to live with unknown men.

“You said you’ll take care of her?” I asked Alex.

He nodded.

“Can you deal with her then?” I licked my lips. “I don’t want to see her. Not forever, just not now.”

“Okay.” Alex leaned forward and pressed a kiss to my forehead. “Let’s go Val. The sooner we take care of her, the better.”

Val pressed a kiss to my cheek and followed Alex out of the apartment.

Elias cleared my throat, drawing my attention to him. “What do you have in mind for tonight?” he asked. “We have some time to get everything done while they are out.”

“You won’t mind?”

He smiled. “It’s only fare that he gets to spend some time with you too.”

“Are you going to give up so easily?”

I was planning on it.

The only thing that was perfect at the moment was the chocolate dipped strawberries.

I asked Elias to help me cook us dinner and he had done so by giving me instructions and showing me to do something when I struggled. Everything was going okay until he had to step away to take a call. I got so distracted that I burned the food beyond saving. I could have started from scratch again but then Stevens had to go out to buy all the ingredients again which might take up to an hour.

Alex had already texted Elias that they should be home in half an hour. Since they went to my house to talk to my mother, they decided to collect my things before the bank took full possession of the house.

What else am I supposed to do?

Letting out a groan, I dropped my face to my hands.

Elias appeared at my side. “Flower, it doesn’t take much to impress Val.”

“I wanted to make him feel special.”

“I understand that, but you’re not understanding me.”

Gripping my hips, Elias turned me around to face him. I stared up at him and waited but he didn’t explain his words any further.

“Go take a bath,” he ordered softly. “Soak for a few minutes and do what women usually does when they get ready for a date.” His lips twitched. “I’ll take care of everything.”

“I-”

“No arguing,” Elias interrupted. “Go.”

I hesitated a moment more and then nodded. Elias pecked my cheek and then spun me around and with a pat on my ass he nudged me in the direction of my room.

With no choice, I followed his order.

I ran a hot bath and dropped in a bath pomp. Once the water was ready, I undressed and climbed into the bath. I sighed as I sank down into the water. My mind started racing.

The last thing I wanted was for my mother and Isabella to ruin things with my alphas. Things were just starting to settle into place. I traced Alex’s mark with my fingertips.

When am I going to start feeling them?

Another sigh fell from my lips. I had so many questions but I had no idea where to start looking for answers.

Shaking my head, I sat up and reached for the soap.

Legs shaved.

Hair washed.

Underarms shaved.

What else was there to do? I had never been on a date before and I should have told Elias that.

With a towel wrapped around my hair and one around my body, I entered the bedroom and froze. Elias was busy arranging something on the bed.

“What do you usually use to groom your pubic hair?” he asked.

“J–just some scissors and a comb,” I stuttered. “Are you going to wax me?”

Elias chuckled. “No. You can’t have sex or masturbate for at least 48 hours after waxing.”

“Oh.”

I moved closer to the bed in curiosity.

“Do you want to do waxing?”

I shrugged.

“If you’re curious about what it will feel like…” he trailed off. “Do you trust me?”

“Yes,” I answered without hesitation.

“I’ll be right back,” Elias muttered as he hurried out of the room.

It didn’t take long for him to return. He held up a small box as he moved closer.

“This is a grooming kit, Val got me for my birthday last year. I haven’t used it before so it’s still clean.” He pulled off the plastic.

Placing the box on the bed, he reached out and pulled the towel from my body. My eyes widened when he moved the clothes he had been busy arranging on the bed and laid the towel out in the middle of the bed.

“Lie down on you back for me,” he ordered softly.

I hesitated a few seconds and then climbed onto the bed. My eyes followed Elias around the room as I pulled the towel out of my hair.

“On your back flower, knees up and legs spread.”
