54. DAISY

Elias knew what he was doing.

Other than me who was starting to second–guess everything. I wasn’t so sure about my plan anymore. Insecurities were starting to fill my mind.

“I’ll keep the food warm,” Elias said softly.

Alex’s eyes slowly trailed over my body from head to toe.

“I–I’ll wait for him in his room,” I told him.

It looked like he wanted to say something, but he changed his mind in the end. Giving me a nod, he pressed a kiss to my forehead and then returned to the kitchen where he was busy.

I hovered there for a few seconds before I hurried back to Val’s room. This time I didn’t hesitate to crawl onto the bed. I pulled all the toys with me and leaned back against the pillows as I studied each of them.

My eyes started to get droopy and before I knew it, I found myself fast asleep.
