Ethan didn’t understand why he was being tagged along with Carn. He had asked the young warriors what he wanted, but he only gave him the same answer.

“This is the queen’s order,” he said.

“Yeah, I know, you have said that before, but tell me in specific what is her order actually?” Eiten had been in a very bad mood ever since yesterday. He didn’t do his job well and Maximus looked like he was going to kill him in any minutes.

“Oh, come on, don’t make this difficult for me. This is the queen’s direct order, how could I defy it? Help me here, okay?” Cam half begging Eiten to understand, even when the gamma looked annoyed with him, and was about to lash out.

For Cam his queen was way more important.

“What now?” Eiten asked when they finally stopped walking, he looked around him, looking for Rania, but she was not within his sight.

“The queen only said to make you stay here,” Cam said and then left, but before that, he yelled at Eiten. “Don’t move, the queen said for you not to move at all. You need to stay still right there, until the queen said otherwise!”

“Why should I care?!” Eiten growled, but Cam was already running away.

Meanwhile, Eiten was annoyed beyond words, but he stayed, because he wanted to know what Rania was trying to do. This woman could be very tricky.

And then, he noticed it.

He was too angry before, thus it dulled his senses, but now when he was slightly calmed down, he could see what Rania was up to.

“What…” Eiten couldn’t even finish his words when he saw Eli from the window of the kitchen. She was listening to Rania’s instruction about how to make a concoction for her daughter, Rania had told Eiten before about this, therefore, he knew what they were doing currently.

Eli was too focus on her lesson and added that to the fact the strong smell of the concoction must have prevented her from sensing Eiten was nearby.

Therefore, Eiten could see her, but she couldn’t see him.

For a brief moment, Eiten was enthralled by his mate, she looke so beautiful. The most beautiful woman in the world that he had ever seen, she was so graceful in every movement she did and the way she stirred the potion.

“Heaven. I must be crazy…” Eiten wiped his face roughly, as he walked closer to the window to get a better look of her

And when he did, he could see her voice, it was so beautiful, Eiten felt like he could hear it all day. This could be easily his favorite sound in this world…

When Ell smiled, Eiten found himself was smiling too, it was contagious.
